~It was the morning after Amara's uprank. She had finally made it to her final year at Rodan. Overjoyed and prideful couldn't touch the emotions she felt this day. A sixteen page letter already sent off her to her family and new black uniforms hung with care in her closet. With her new rank came two whole days of freedom. No classes nothing. Amara busied herself instead with gathering her new books from the school library.

Digging through her bag Amara made her way to the library through the crowded halls. As she drew close she noticed her headmaster wandering the halls like he always did. He remained in his full Lycan form at all times. Amara could just hear his paws clicking softly along the marble floor. She approached and gave a short bow, catching his attention.

"Ah good morning Officer Snow."

He smiled then. His muzzle wrinkling with joy.

"Excuse me. Wulffram Snow. Has it been 4 years already?"

"Yes sir."

Amara answered.

"I look forward to my pairing and advancement. I've come to gather my books for my final year."

"I know why you are here. So serious all the time. You are on two full days of freedom."

Headmaster reached out and patted her shoulder smiling at her.

"Take care to remember why you are here."

"To make my family proud."

"Same answer as always huh?"

He mused folding his paws behind his back.

"Living in family shadow, leaves no room for you to shine."

Amara studied his smiling muzzle.

"I will shine as a Protector. Serve alongside my brethren."

"Rightly so. Well I must be off. I have new Wulfframs to pair."

"Sir, that's why I stopped you."

She stepped before him again stopping him.

"I wanted to speak out of turn for a moment."

Kodiak crossed his arms across his furry chest and smiled at her.

"Speak your mind Wulffram."

"I was hoping to be paired with someone who is..."

She took in a breath, choosing her words carefully.

"On my level..."

Kodiak laughed heartily making Amara look away.

"How did I know of all my students, you would be the one to probe me on my choices of pairing. Are you worried?"

"I would never doubt you Head Master."

"I didn't ask that."

He smiled once more and stood to fix his robes.

"I asked if you were worried. Fret not Wulffram Snow. I have someone in mind for you that will...suit your needs. Gather your books and take care to remember why you are here. Good day."

With that he turned and resumed his walk. Amara was confused by his words watched him leave. She knew better than to question her Headmaster.
Going into the large library it was much quieter than the hallways. Other students sat at tables reading silently or tapping away at computers. She went to the desk and found Professor Kona standing behind the counter.

"Professor? Where is Shera?"

"Sick today."

Kona answered looing up from her book.
