Family Ties

Chapter Twelve

+Braden redressed in his normal clothes and went to knock on Amara's door. It was thrown open and she stood there smiling at him, dressed in her robe.

"Hey big guy! Uniforms fit?"

"Yes, well actually."

"Good, can't have my pair looking shabby can I?"

She teased pulling the door open.

"Come in. Did you get your grounds key?"

Braden came in and sat on her chair gazing at her.

"Yes. Everything is in place now. All that's left is tonight."

"I am excited to dance with you."

She twirled around and tossed her cap onto his head.

"Sit and eat dinner with you."

"Are we still going to sit with your family?"

He asked watching her dance around happy. She laughed and finally landed in her bed.

"That depends on how well my dad takes me becoming a Hunter. Either way it's you and me from now on."

Braden smiled and held her cap in his hands, gazing down.

"I will sit where ever you sit."

Amara let out a sigh and leaned back on her hands.

"Can't believe we are here. Crazy isn't it?"

"Yes, not how I planned it to turn out but I wouldn't trade this for anything."

Braden admitted nodding his head.

"I am ready to serve. Either Hunting or Protecting I am ready."

"Hunter Fury."

Amara mused gazing over at him.

"Nice ring to it don't you think?"

"Yes I would agree but I'd rather be known as your pair."

"I am so happy we get to stay paired big guy."

She came over and stood him up in front of her.

"I will be honest with you, the thought of leaving your side physically hurt. I was just clinging to the idea of you writing your own story. I never imagined you would include me in it."

Braden stared down at her watching her smile at him.

"We will push each other even in our normal lives. You think we excelled in school? Just wait until we are out in the real world."

"I believe together we are unstoppable."

Amara growled nodding her head.

"Yes we are. People will fear our names when they hear we are coming for them."

Braden returned her growl agreeing.

"Yes they will. You lead."

"You follow."

~Finally it was time to gather in the auditorium for their ceremony. Amara of course lead Braden to their waiting room. She spotted Akina and went to her.

"I haven't seen you forever Mara!"

Akina hugged her tightly and said with tears in her eyes.

"I'm so emotional right now. My parents are so proud and they love Bronx."

"That's so good. Are you two being placed together?"

"Yes, Head Master promised we'd be together."
