Waking up I feel drained. Not so much physically but the emotional drainage was beginning to take a toll on my physical. I didn't even go for a run this morning. I love what Chris and I have but he just keeps justifying why I never gave relationships the time of day.

We're driving out to Los Angeles today as they hold the State Championships at LA Early College every year. State wasn't for another 4 days but we always go early so we can train on the track. Staring at the bag I had packed I felt defeated. Chris didn't trust me, we still don't know where Skai's phone was, and I honestly didn't feel confident about competing at all. This was not the way I pictured State going this year but I guess I had to roll with the punches.

"You all packed sweetie?" My mom asked entering the room

"Yeah." I sighed "I think I have everything."

"You okay baby? Your eyes look puffy." She said as she took a seat next to me on my bed

"I'm fine mama, just a bit tired."

"Is it you and Sebastian?"

"What?" I asked

"Girl I wasn't born yesterday, I know you guys are involved."

How did she know? In public we always acted as friends. I guess it's just mother's instinct. Her bringing him up reminded  me that I'm supposed to go talk to him before I leave.

"Well we WERE somewhat involved but it wasn't anything serious. How I'm feeling has nothing to do with him though ma I'm just stressed."

"Well don't stress yourself out too much. I packed you a cooler with some sandwiches and drinks. Terri and I plan to drive out the day before okay?"

"Thanks mama." I smiled giving her a hug

"Anything for my babygirl. I'm off to work let me know when you guys get to the hotel safely."

"I will."

She kissed my forehead and walked out of my room leaving me with my thoughts. I get up taking a look in the mirror. I needed to shake of this gloomy ass mood.  My outfit was simple.
