I always looked forward to the State Banquets. It was a very formal event. Black Tie and floor length dresses. My dress was red and Kalani's was a nude color.

After getting my size I find a nearby bench to try it on. Looking in the mirror my little size 6 feet looked amazing in these heels.
"Damn bitch you would've thought we were going to prom."
"You're dumb." I laughed "Oh shit Prom!" I exclaimed "I completely forgot about that shit I don't even have a dress!"
"Or a date." Kalani mumbled
I glared at her and she shrugged as she continued to admire the nude heels with clear details she was trying on.
"Well bitch the reality is you gonna have to go with Sebastian you did promise him y'all would be together when we got back."
"Yeah but bitch that was only for me to get the video. He don't have that shit over my head anymore."
"Well he do know about you and Carter now. I suggest you go with him to make sure he stays quiet."
"Chris is gonna hate that, shit I'm gonna hate that." I sighed
"Well it's not like you can take each other to the prom. It's just one night, it's not like you gotta fuck him."
"Yeah I guess."
"Speaking of that you never told me who's bigger." She said sitting next to me
"Girl I'm not telling you that." I giggled
"So you saying Carter is?"
"I didn't say anything." I smirked "Come on let's go pay for these shoes and head back so we can start getting ready it's already 4."
We grabbed the shoes and headed to the counter. The cashier starts wrapping them up and she hands me the bag.
"You didn't tell me how much it was." I said taking out my card
"Oh Ms. Jones it's already been taken care of."
I look at Kalani and she smirks as she gladly takes her bag from the counter. Chris strikes again.
"So do Carter have brothers? Cause bitch this is the life!" She spun in a circle as we reached the parking lot
"Girl I don't know. I don't even know how he knew we were coming here."
"Well he asked me before we left but I didn't know he was gonna do this."
"Mhm sure you didn't."
"Bitch I put that on Todo."
Todo was Kalani's pet hamster who she babies to the T. She even got the little rat a miniature bathtub to put in the mini house she built for him.

"Damn girl I did the fuck out your makeup. You look bomb!" Kalani gushed as I looked into the mirror
"Damn Lani how you got me looking badder than I already was?"
"Magic hands. I gotta get to my room and finish getting dressed though. Meet you in the lobby."
She leaves and I stop staring at myself in the mirror. Checking the time I see that we had to be in the lobby in 10 minutes and I still had to get into this dress and take these pins out of my hair. I went for the Jessica Rabbit waves with a deep side part. I slip into my dress carefully then adjust my boobs in the mirror. Once I had them sitting up right I put on my heels and my pearl earrings. I start to remove the pins out of my hair when I hear my door open.
"Lani is that you? Can you zip up the rest of my-..."
I'm frozen in my tracks when I see Chris casually leaning up against my bedroom door holding a single rose in his hand. He looked FINE AS HELL. He was dressed in a tailored black suit with velvet red bottom loafers. His dreads were freshly braided back into a low bun and his ears were adorned with diamond earrings and his wrist held a gold rolex. I've never seen him dress up dress up like this before. The closest thing to this was homecoming but that paled in comparison to the sight before me.
"God Damn Nala." He spoke
We both were just staring at each other saying nothing as we took in each other's appearances.
"You look gorgeous." He stepped forward handing me the rose "Damn I almost want to just ditch the banquet and wine and dine you myself tonight."
"Thank you." I laughed lightly "You look dapper yourself." I said as I adjusted his tie
Touching him and smelling his scent was getting me tender. The sexual tension was high.
"Do a spin."
He spun me around smacking my ass as my backed faced him. Moving my hair out the way he zipped up the rest of dress and planted a wet kiss on my shoulder. He wrapped his arms around my waist as I looked at him through the mirror in front of us.
"Thank you for the shoes you really didn't have to do that."
"You my girl, you don't have to worry about anything as long as I'm around."
I blush and walk out of his embrace to grab my bag and spray a little more perfume on.
"Well you better go ahead of me." I said
"Right." He chuckled "See you down there beautiful."
He kisses my forehead then takes one more look at me before walking out my hotel room. I smile to myself and take a couple of pictures in the mirror before heading down to the lobby myself.
