I watched as Nala somewhat peacefully slept in my bed. She was stirring, I wonder what she was dreaming about. Yesterday did not go how I planned it at all. I can't believe Sebastian pulled a bitch move like that. Not only did he expose us but he ruined one of Nala's biggest moments. She couldn't even celebrate her graduation in peace.
Then everything that went down after. I assumed Nala didn't talk about her dad much because it was a sensitive subject but now I know it's really because she doesn't even know much about him herself. I push some strands out of her face kissing her forehead. As I pull away her eyes flutter open.
"What time is it? She asked sleepily
"It's eight in the morning." I answered "You want breakfast?"
"I don't feel like eating."
"Ah Ah, none of that." I said "I know you going through something but starving yourself won't help."
She groaned in response placing the cover over her head.
"Okay attitude, I'm gonna go make something for us to eat in the meantime."
"Thank you." She said in a small voice
"You're welcome." I smiled before walking out my bedroom
Looking in the fridge I see that I had eggs, cheese, bacon, and some fruit. I turn on my waffle maker as I start to prep everything else. I hear water running indicating Nala must've gotten up to shower. I couldn't help but feel bad about the whole situation between Nala, Terry, and her mom. If we hadn't gotten exposed beforehand, maybe they would be more open to understand our relationship. Now our shit didn't look like a relationship at all. Terry thinks I got some sick fetish for young girls and her mom thinks I took advantage of her daughter. Crazy how I went to being "like family" to now some pervert.
They already have a bad impression of me before I had the chance to even make a first impression. Sebastian thinks I beat his ass the other night but trust me that was just a taste compared to how I want to fuck him up now. I know that wouldn't make anything better though. He got Skai to worry about now, that's more than enough karma for his ass.
As I start to plate the food, I hear Nala talking to someone on the phone. She finally appear from around the corner sporting one of my T-shirts and nothing else. Her hair was still damp from the shower and she was fresh faced. Is it bad that despite everything going on right now and that I just cooked breakfast that the only thing I wanna eat is her. She always looks so damn good no matter the circumstances.
"I'm not coming home until you are ready to tell me the WHOLE truth!" She yelled on the phone before hanging up
She starts tapping away on her screen before locking it and setting it down.
"It smells good, what'd you make?" She asked shifting her attention on me
"Everything you like." I said setting down her plate in front of her
"Funny, I don't see you on this plate." She smirks
"Oh that can be arranged." I winked making her giggle
"Mmm, babe this is good." She moaned as she ate some of the bacon
"Thank you, everything alright?" I asked referring to the phone call
"Yeah." She sighed "It was just my mom saying that she wants me home, but I'm not going back till she tells me the whole truth about my dad. My whole life I've been deprived of having a father because of pride, lies, and secrets."
"Well there must be a reason for it all baby, and whenever the time comes for you to talk about it with you mom just be open. Some of the things you may find out might not be what you wanna hear. I see the amount of love she has for you. Shit I witnessed it firsthand yesterday, if she was keeping you from your dad there must be a reason and I'm sure she thought that was what was best at the time."
