I turn behind me to see Chris casually leaning in the doorway that led to the bedroom. Once I saw the blue roses I knew that in fact Chris was behind this. It was the same arrangement he gave me on our first date.
"I love them Chris thank you. You didn't have to do all of this." I said admiring the suite again
"Look I know you don't want to talk about it right now so we won't." He walked towards me "But I will do everything I can to show you how sorry I am through my actions."
"Well this was a good start." I smiled a little
"I just don't like us being on bad terms or being the reason that you're crying." He said as he cupped my face
I just nod to prevent us from getting back into the details of last night. I'm not one of those females that cry over niggas for one, and to see that he had that affect on me indeed confirmed the feelings I had for him.
"I'm on the 37th floor and the rest of the team is on the 16th floor." Chris said breaking the silence "I made sure to space us out to risk getting caught or anything like that. If anyone asks you and Kalani share a room on the 17th floor okay?"
"Okay got it."
"No one knows our team is staying here. All the other teams are under the impression that we are staying at the same hotel you guys stayed at last year. The staff here knows not to give out anybody's info as well."
"Well damn Chris you got this shit on lockdown." I laughed a little
"I just don't want you to have to deal with anymore drama. Especially with that video still floating around."
Damn I forgot to tell him about the phone.
"We'll talk about that when we come back from the interview." I said
"Alright well, I know you have to get ready. Make sure you are wearing Nike as they are our sponsors this year."
I nod and he leans in kissing my forehead.
"Meet in the lobby at 1pm."
I watch him as he leaves my room. I wish he just kissed me but he probably felt that we weren't back on lovey dovey terms yet. I grab my bag that was sitting in the foyer and go into the bedroom. Digging in my bag I lay out the 2 Nike outfit options that I brought. I decide on the one adorned with nude colors and pair it with my all white Air Max 97's that has a gum bottom.
