"Inojin! Hey!" Sarada grinned at her friend, cerulean eyes glimmering with mischief. "Sarada." Inojin nodded, returning her mischiefness with a smirk. Boruto chuckled at the sight, one he never thought he would see.

The Sarada of his time was always so prim and proper, so obsessed with impressing her father. It was nice to see her letting loose for a change. The raven gently placed a hand on his sister's shoulder, greeting Inojin with a grin.

"Aight people, we gonna prank some suckers or what?" Sarada let out a whoop of laughter, Inojin smiling along. "Yes, let's get to it," the platinum blonde said, kneeling to the ground and gently rolling out a scroll.

Boruto leaned forward with interest, eyes gleaming as they observed the parchment paper. On the sheet was a diagram of the Yamanaka household, complete with dimensions and all.

There were tiny drawings all over the place, with a key for them in the bottom right hand corner. "Ok so." Inojin smoothed out the creases, causing the twins to look up at him. He pointed to the doorway, where a small green plant was painted on.

"Here is the first mistletoe. This one we have got to tamper with, because Mom will be forcing everyone to enter through the front door, so it's guaranteed that everyone will experience it." He slid his finger over to the windows.

"However, on the off chance we don't get everyone, Mom has unknowingly got us covered. She placed a mistletoe on each one of the windows here, to make the room more 'balanced' or whatever."

Boruto nodded, giddy with excitement. "Alright. What else?" Inojin placed another scroll in front of the first one, sliding his finger to another light blue square. Here, we have my bedroom window. That's where the magic will happen."

"We'll all have a sleepover a couple of days before the Christmas party, when all the decorations are already set up. Then we'll start placing jutsus." He glanced up at the two, narrowing his eyes. "By that time, hopefully Himawari's father will have returned."

The twins bowed their heads, Boruto glancing back up at Inojin. "Why do you have a blueprint of all the decorations anyways?" The blonde grinned. "Mom's a neat freak. Insists that we get everything planned out early so it'll be easier later."

Boruto nodded. "Right then. What jutsu are we using?" Inojin shrugged. "Why are you asking me? We all know that's Sarada's part to shine." Sarada immediately beamed, taking out a scroll of her own and rolling it out on top of the other scrolls.

"So," she sing-songed. "Here's what I got so far." Inojin and Boruto leaned in closer, light and dark blue eyes glimmering with anticipation.

Himawari read through the letter over and over again, eyes narrowed in outrage. Her fingers clenched the sheet of paper, causing it to crease at the edges. "Who would do this?" She whispered, voice hoarse.

Her mother sat next to her on the couch, eyes silently watching the wind blow through the window. Hinata's eyes were narrowed in a scary calm anger. She brought her arm around her daughter, pulling her in close to her chest.

"Whomever it is, we'll find them." The woman closed her eyes, her lips curled down in a barely noticeable frown. "We'll find them and make them pay." Himawari nodded, a fire in her eyes exactly like her fathers.

"Yea," she agreed. "We'll find them." Hinata smiled down at her daughter, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "But not right now. You shouldn't worry too much about your father. He'll be fine."

Himawari nodded, standing up from the couch. She gave her mother a questioning look, to which Hinata replied, "It's ok honey. Go to your friends. I'm sure they're worried about you."

Himawari smiled brightly, leaning forward to peck her mother on the cheek. "I love you," she murmured. "I love you too." Her mother replied back.

The blueish haired girl grinned a very Inuzuka smile, leaving Hinata struck with just how similar the two were. When the door closed with a loud thud, Hinata's eyes darkened considerably, the light colored orbs glaring at the family photo framed on the coffee table.

She gently picked it up, running the pads of her fingers over her husband's face. "I will find you," she swore, her Byakugan activating. "And I will bring you back home, and make them pay for taking you away from me."

A knock on the door jolted the woman out of her thoughts. "Hinata? It's Sakura. Naruto just told me the news. Are you ok?"

A warm smile came onto the woman's face. She let Sakura's steady chakra wash over her as she stood up, smoothing out the creases on her night robe. She hadn't bothered to change when the letter regarding her husband had arrived.

Hinata walked over to the door, a greeting for her longtime supporter and close companion already on the tip of her tongue. She was but a couple steps from the door when her brain set off warning signs in her head.

Hinata paused at the doorknob. Something wasn't right. Sakura's chakra was calm. Too calm. The pink haired woman almost always had some sort of fiery streak, both in her personality and chakra.

Sensing no signs of distress, Hinata slowly inched the door open. She was met with the image of Sakura; unconscious and being held up by a cloaked figure. The Hyuga immediately stirred into action.

"Mmph-" She tried to activate her Byakugan, but the second she opened her mouth, it was muffled by a gloved hand.

The woman felt a sharp prick in her arm, and when she looked towards it, a needle was hanging out of it. With a glare, Hinata shoved as hard as she could, taking the assaulter off guard. She yanked the needle out of her arm.

Hinata rushed towards her friend, who was on the ground, still showing no signs of waking up. Eyes darting behind her, she caught a glimpse of the dark figure coming up behind her, before everything went black.
