Scott is Dre's assistant producer. Here's a few stories from his time with Dre:
They had been working on a song called "buried alive" for Dre's Detox album. The song was supposed to be kinda scary. Scott walked into the studio one day and walked in to find that the studio floor was COVERED in rocks, sheet rock, sand, dirt, etc. It was all piled and mixed together on a tarp in the middle of the room. Microphones were set up near the pile of dirt.
Meanwhile Dre was standing right in the middle of this pile with a fucking shovel and digging. Dre was using the crunching of the dirt as a rhythm for the beat.
So every time you hear the sound of shoveling in one of Eminems songs (Premonition, 97 Bonnie n Clyde, etc) just know that Dre actually made those sounds himself.
