I go to school too and if I want to get to the next grade, I have to study and get good grades.

Theo's POV:

I barge into Ruth's house to see her lying on the floor.

She groans and gets up.

"Where are my children?"

"I... I don't know," she says.

"Ruth, stop. Where are they? Stop playing around."

"I'm not."

I grab her by the arm and wrench her up to her feet.

"I swear Theo!" she cries.

She looks at me.

"There will never be anything between you and me. Ever."

I notice a note on the table and I drop her hand.

Hand over Shai and the boys live.

"How long ago did they leave?" I ask.

"I don't know."

"Don't lie to me. I know you were faking."

"Two minutes."

I walk past her and run out the door.

I run down the street then I hear screaming.

I run to the alley where the scream came from.

I grab Derrick.

"You do not understand how much I hate you and I'm not suppose to hate anybody," I spit out angrily.

"Theo. It was a joke. I knew you would find them because you always do," Derrick says quickly and nervously.

Brent and Ian watch me nervously.

"The next time I see you, I'll make sure you don't leave alive. Got it?"

He nods nervously.

I drop him and he runs out of the alley.

I hold the boys close to me.

"Daddy," Ian croaks out.

"It's okay. I'm here."

Shailene's POV:

I sit in my hospital bed uneasily.

"Theo and the boys are tough cookies," Tanner says trying to make me feel better but it's not really working.

The door bursts open and Theo walks in.

"Theo!"

He wraps his arms around me.

"I missed you," I mutter.

"I'm so sorry."

"Where are the boys?"

"I left them with your mom."

"I'm just glad you and they boys are alright."

I kiss him.

Then I pull away and hit him.

"You left me! And didn't even tell me why," I exclaim.

Theo chuckles. "I understand your pain but I had to get my children from our crazy exes."

I hug him again.

"Oh, I love you," I say.

I kiss him again.
