Chapter Five

Shailene POV:

"Two boys." Dr. Violette finishes.
I smile and Theo hugs me.
"We have two boys!" I exclaim.
Theo smiles.
"Thank you." We say in unison.
"Now during the second month of the second Trimester, you may feel the babies kick so don't be alarmed." Dr. Violette.
We nod, smile, and walk out.
"We need to start painting. What about a blue and silver striped room?" I ask excitedly.
"That's a great idea. How about we go look at some paint swatches at the store." Theo says.
"Hehehe. Swatch. Hehehe. That's a funny word. Oh. God! I've been spending way to much time with Ansel."
Theo laughs and kisses my cheek.
We get in the car and go to a nearby home decorating store.
"I like this baby blue color." I say.
"You want it?" Theo asks.
"Yes."
He picks up a can and then we go on to look at the gray colors.
"Oh, this one. It's a silver gray color. Let's get it." I say.
Theo picks up a can of the silver.
We smile and buy the paint.
We drive home and walk to the second biggest room in the house.
"We can start laying out newspapers and plastic and then tomorrow we begin the process. Oh, I'm sorry Theo. I'm so busy worrying about the room, I didn't even ask if it was in your schedule." I say.
He sets the cans down and kisses my forehead.
"It's all right with me." He says.
"Should we ask for help? Like Megan, Tanner, Bradley, what about Clover?" I ask.
"My family back in Oxford. Maybe Tanner, Zoë, Megan, and Ansel will do. Miles is on vacation." Theo says.
"Perfect. Let me start calling. But I want something to eat first. Do we have watermelons?" I ask.
"Yes."
"Great."
I walk downstairs and cut a watermelon and begin eating it.
Then the door bell rings.
"Ugh! All I want is to eat my watermelon in peace." I mutter.
I open the door revealing Ruth.
"You again." I spit out like venom.
"Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine. I'm here to see Theo." Ruth says.
"Theo! There's a bitch at the door waiting for you!" I yell.
He walks down the stairs, looks at Ruth, and rolls his eyes.
"Hi Ruth. Do you need anything?" Theo asks politely.
"No I just need to tell you that you needed special clothes. I got them right here. Although Shai, you're a little on the fat side. You need to lose some weight. How can you stand this pig?"
"I will shove my--" Theo covers my mouth before I finish my sentence.
I struggle against him trying to kill Ruth.
"Alright Ruth. Shailene is pregnant." Theo says.
"She shouldn't be this big. She's probably adding fat onto it." Ruth says.
"You--" Theo once again covers my mouth.
"She's having twins." Theo says.
"I didn't realize that you stole my boyfriend and then forced him to have sex with you." Ruth says.
"We're married, sweetheart." I say.
"Married?" Ruth asks.
"Mhmm." I say showing her the ring.
"You bitch." She yells.
"I'm not the one who cheated on Theo five years ago." I say getting in her face.
I walk my house and slam the door in her face.
"Owie! My nose! Do you know how this cost!?" Ruth yells.
I laugh.
Theo looks at me smirking.
"What were you going to say when I covered your mouth?" He asks.
"Shh. Kids around." I say.
He laughs.

Today, Theo, Tanner, Zoë, Megan, Ansel are painting the boys' room.
We're almost done.
Theo puts his hand in the gray paint and I put mine in the blue paint and we push our hands onto the wall and pull it back.
Leaving our hand prints.
We smile at everybody and head out to the kitchen.
"Your house is huge!" Tanner exclaims.
"Right?" Zoë says.
I begin pouring drinks and I feel a kick.
"Theo, the babies are kicking." I say.
Theo walks over.
I put his hand on my stomach.
He smiles and kisses me.
I see a flash and we turn to see what it was.
"What? A perfect picture for mom to put in her scrapbook." Tanner says.

I know you guys wanted a boy and girl and at one point I was going that but then I got thinking and I'm going to do things with that.
