Chapter Twelve

Theo POV:

I rock Ian slowly then the door slowly opens revealing Tanner and Lori, Shailene's mother.
"Hi." They whisper.
"Hi." I reply softly.
"Can I hold him?" Lori asks.
I nod and hand Ian to her.
Zoë gives Brent to Tanner.
Shailene slowly stirs and her eyes flutter open.
I hold her hand and she smiles at me.
Her eyes wonder around the room.
"Mom. Tanner. Hey." Shailene says softly.
"Hey. How are you?" Lori asks.
"I was exhausted but sleep helped."
"Now you know what I went through."
Shailene laughs.
Lori touches Shailene's face.
"But when I went through that pain I gave birth to two wonderful children." Lori says as Shailene smiles.
The door opens revealing Megan and Miles.
"Hey!" Megan says enthusiastically.
"She's so excited. I just want to slap her." Miles says towards me. I laugh. "Hey Shai. How you doing?"
"I was exhausted but I'm okay."
Ian and Brent begin crying.
"I think it's time for me to feed them." Shailene says.
They nod their heads.
"For heaven's sake, let's go. Everyone out." Lori says.
Lori smiles at us and closes the door.
I hand Shailene, Ian and Brent.
She begins breast feeding them both.
When they are done, Shailene pulls her shirt up.
I put Brent up and smile at him.
Ian grabs Shailene's finger.
I look at Shailene and smile at her.
"They are going to grow up strong like their daddy." I say.
"Strong and sensitive." Shai adds.
"Strong and sensitive. I like that."
"Yes, you are."
I kiss her.
"See? Strong and Sensitive." She says.
I kiss her again.
"Hey! No PDA around the babies!" Ansel yells.
"Ssh!" Shai and I sound in unison.
Brent and Ian lay with their eyes closed.
We put them in their beds but Shailene's bedside.

Okay well I'm not the usual CharmedWords. I'm helping her out until her thing allows her back into her account. So...yeah.
