"eren?" i whispered, next to eren while kneeling waiting to kiss queen historia's hand.
hearing his name be called snapped him out of his trance. he snapped his head over to you, then his eyes met historia's.
"sorry..." he said as he let go of her hand, and the hand went over to you.

"what was that?"
"oh uh nothing... i just got this weird memory from my father. THAT REMINDS ME! the basement." at the words 'that reminds me' his face lit up and went dead serious as 'the basement.'
"right! i'll go get captain le-"
"no. not yet." eren interrupted grabbing your wrist to stop you from getting the captain.
"i have to tell you something." he said with a dead serious face, whispering.
"oh- ok"

he brought you to the roof, still holding your hand.
you were more confused than connie and sasha that one episode in season 4 when they were arguing who should get eren's titan.
he pulled in a passionate kiss with a tear falling down his cheek and scrunched up eyebrows.
your eyes went wide and your mind filled with confusion.
with the littlest of blush on both yours and his cheeks you returned the kiss.
you wrapped your arms around his shoulders and he wrapped his arms around your waist.
he pulled away, both your eyes still closed with him saying "do you love me?" then kissing again.
you released the kiss, with eren and your eyes opening slowly, eren brought his arm to wipe the tear then placing back on your hip.
"of course i love you, we've been together for 7 months now" you paused "what's wrong?"
"i- i don't want to lose you.."
"what? i'm not going anywhere!"
"let's hope it stays that way..."
"eren?" you said worriedly, holding his head with both hands.
"what really did you see when you kissed historia's hand?"
"i-i- um-"
"eren" you interrupted all stern to get him to just say it.
"well, it's a long story, but the future isn't looking up for us, for all of us. the saddest part about it, is that, i might lose you. i'm scared, y/n!"
you mouth slowly opened in shock. "tell me the whole story later, alright? i promise i'll listen to every word you have to say!"
he nodded in response, with one more tear forming in his eye threatening to fall.
you let go of his shoulders and moving your hands to his to move them off your hips and walked away with a sad smile.
