Zoë's POV

How could I be so stupid?!?! I finally had a chance to talk to Michael and see what he thought about 'us' and I freaking blew it.

Sometimes I wish I could just move to an island far far away from anyone so I won't fuck up my relationships anymore.

I know I won't be able to sleep now that I have pissed myself off, so I wait for Michael to fall into a deep sleep before carefully slipping out of the bedroom.

I walk downstairs to find an empty living room and kitchen. Perfect.

I just need a little space right now so I don't lash out at someone. When I get anxious I always end up yelling at someone and saying things I don't mean.

I decide that I should take a walk on the beach to try and cool off.

I quick tip toe back into the bedroom and grab my other bikini, some short shorts, sunglasses, and sunblock. Hey, don't judge. This pale ass skin doesn't want to turn into fucking bacon.

I run back downstairs, after checking that Michael was still asleep, and change into my bikini before putting on the pair of shorts. I rub on huge globs of sunblock and put on my sunglasses before heading out.

It was a really nice day out today. The wind was mildly wisping my hair behind me, making it tickle my back. As usual, I take a deep breath, trying to take in as much of the salty ocean scent as possible. I love the ocean so much.

After about a half an hour of walking, I found the pier that Kyla had told Michael and I about the other day. She said that they always had the best cotton candy there. I decided that I could check it out since I wasn't doing anything other than walking.

There was only one problem. The crowds of people.

Let's get one thing straight......I hate people. Not all people I suppose, but most people. Yeah I hate them.

They just think that they're better than everyone else and they can be plain mean. High school wasn't kind to me and neither were the people there.

I take a deep breath before heading into the crowd.

After weaving my way though the hundreds of people, I finally arrive in front of the bright pink cotton candy stand. Wow it really did look mouth watering.

Unfortunately, there was a huge line.

Perfect.

I wait as each person takes their damn time thinking about what flavor they want as it was their turn to order. Like what the fuck people, you think about what you want before you get to the front of the fucking line so you can order quick and not make others wait for your slow ass to get the fuck out of the way.

Anyway, after almost 15 minutes, I was at the front of the line.

"One lemon cotton candy, please." I order politely.

"Alright here you go," the man says handing me the fluffy, yellow substance. "That'll be ¢2.50."

I reach into my pockets and find them empty. Oh shit.

I feverishly check my back pockets but only find them to be empty, too.

"I umm-"

"Here you go." Someone says handing the man the money.

I know I'm a bright crimson color, but I still turn around to thank the gentlemen who helped me out.

"Oh, um thank y-........Oh my god." I say, shocked by who he was.

"Hey Zee."
