Michael's POV

No......nonono that can't be Zoë. That can't be Zoë!

I hurdle over a few chairs that were in my way and sprint fast as I can over to the stretcher.

"Oh my god." I say but it slips out as a whisper.

Zoë has a breathing tube, pumping her lungs full of oxygen and an IV in her arm. But that wasn't even close to being the worst part.

There were at least 20 large cuts all over her arms, legs, chest, and face. Blood was gushing out from the deep gashes at an alarming rate and the nurses were trying to stop it with gauze. But it wasn't working.

Every time one of the nurses would put a new piece of gauze on one of her wounds, it would become soaked with the crimson liquid within a matter of seconds.

The team of nurses and doctors kept the stretcher moving down the hall as they worked to save my friends life.

Yeah, your friends life Michael....

I move along with the stretcher silently as well. I knew I wasn't supposed to be there, but I couldn't just leave Zoe. I had to make sure they were going to fix her.

We continued down the long hallway until one of the nurses realized that I wasn't one of them and stopped walking with the stretcher. He pulled me away with him and stood me against the wall of the hallway. I tried to fight him to get back to Zoë but it was no use, he was like a bull.

"Hey, look at me." He says in a stern yet calming voice. I eventually tear my eyes away from the stretcher that was now at the end of the hall and look at the nurse.

"I have no idea how you know that girl but I just want to make sure you know that we are going to do everything in our power to make her better." The nurse says, never letting his eyes leave mine to show me he was being sincere.

"How bad is it?" I ask him, tears begging to spill out of my eyes but I won't let them.

"From what I saw....she has a probable concussion from the impact of the crash, and.....from all the bleeding.....we can also assume that one of her major arteries was cut.....she'll bleed out in minutes if they haven't already stopped the bleeding." The brown haired nurse explains trying to keep a straight face when giving me this awful news.

"S-she was in a crash?" I stutter as the tears that began flowing during his explanation turned into rage.

"There is no way she can die! She can't die!!!" I scream as I attempt to run down the hallway and to the room Zoë had been pushed into. The nurse grabs me and pushes a button on his pager. A few seconds later two security guards arrive and begin to drag me back to the waiting room.

"NO! I NEED TO SEE HER!!!" I screech as I battle the guards.

Out of my fit of rage, everything began to go white and the room became blurry. I felt myself still screaming but I couldn't hear it anymore. The only thing I heard was someone else's voice calling my name.

"michael. Michael. MICHAEL!!!" Someone yells and I jolt awake.

I look around at my surroundings and see I'm still in the hospital. Ashton and Niall are standing in front of me looking extremely concerned.

"Are you okay Michael? You don't look so goo-" Niall begins but I cut him off.

"Where the hell is Zoë?" I yell as I jump up and begin frantically searching for her.

I spot the nurse who I had talked to before and rush over to him. He was talking to another one of the nurses but I really didn't give a fuck right now.
