Zoë's POV
"Zee where's my black jumper?" I hear Calum yell from downstairs.
"I put it in the wash yesterday after I got home." I yell back at him.
A minute later, I hear Calum walk into my room and I roll over so my head was no longer stuffed into my pillow.
"I'm going to work in about 10 minutes, thought I should let you know." He says. I see he found his black jumper and he had placed his name tag on it, too. He thought he was clever and put 'Calpal' on it instead of his actual name.
I swear sometimes he can be a real dumb fuck.
"Well you don't need to tell me whenever you leave the house, I'm 19 I can take care of myself." I say rolling back over and shoving my face into the pillow again.
"I know, I just want you to be safe." He says.
"And how does you telling me where you're going keep me safe?" I scoff at his comment. I wasn't 12.
"If you had any trouble you would know where to find me." He says.
"What kind of trouble do you see me getting in Calum? I pretty much live at the bookstore." I say bluntly, turning back over again.
"Well this guy whose been driving you home makes me worried." He says looking down at his feet.
"Michael? You don't need to worry about him, he's a nice guy." I say astonished he was worried about Michael being around me.
"Have you seen him? He wears leather jackets and looks like he's trying to be a badass." He says looking back up to me.
"Ok first of all, you are being extremely stereotypical and second of all, you haven't even met him, you can't just say things like that about him." I say, raising my voice slightly.
"Zee don't get mad at me, I'm just making sure you know what you're getting yourself into. I've seen guys like him, they act all nice to get into your pants then they act like complete dicks." Calum says, defending himself.
"Stop calling me Zee! And Michael isn't one of those guys. Besides we're just friends nothing more." I yell.
"Whatever you say Zee, I'm headed off to work. See you later." Calum says walking out of my room, but not before giving me that chipmunk smile of his.
"Fuck you Calum." I say under my breath.
"Heard that!" He yells from the end of the hallway.
I get up and slam my door shut for emphasis before getting ready for the day.
I pick out a simple black tee shirt and some white, ripped skinny jeans. I throw them on and proceed to the bathroom to see what kind of damage my bed did to my hair last night.
"Jesus." I say to myself when I look into the mirror.
My hair looks like I hadn't brushed or washed it in weeks. The newly purple locks are strewn about in a ball of frizziness and there was no way I was going to be able to get it undone without a shower.
I groan and turn on the shower, waiting for the temperature to get warm before getting in.
I let the water run through my tangled hair and enjoy it's warmth on my body.
After my shower, I get out and quickly blow dry my long hair. I brush on some nude eyeshadow and some mascara before putting my tee shirt and skinny jeans back on. I brush my teeth and put on some subtle pink lipstick before proceeding downstairs.
I grab a cup of lemon yogurt before slipping on my pair of All Time Low sneakers. I made them last summer and they are really comfortable so I wear them all the time. I grabbed my brown jacket to head out the door.
