Zoë's POV
We arrive in front of Michael's house and I am pretty impressed with what I see. It was a lot bigger than my house, of course most are, but this was huge. How could he afford this?
"Are you rich or something?" I ask, and he just rolled his eyes and smiled.
"You think I, someone who works at a coffee shop, is rich?" He asks with a stupid little grin on his face.
"Well this house surly costs a lot so either you're rich or you have a rich uncle." I say, gesturing to the giant house.
"Actually I have a roommate." He says as he gets out of the car.
"That makes more sense." I say to myself as he walks over to my side of the car. He opens the door for me and I get out, taking my bags with me.
We walk up to the entrance and he opens the unlocked door. I cringe at the sight.
"What?" He asks confused by my expression.
"You leave your door unlocked?" I ask, my face still twisted at the thought.
"Yeah, I forget sometimes. Are you ok?" He asks seeing my face still not moving from its scrunched up position.
"Yeah, that just really bothers me. I can have slight OCP with little things like that." I explain.
"OCP?" Michael asks confused.
"Obsessive Compulsive Personality. It's like OCD but to a lesser extent. When most people say they have OCD they should really be saying they have OCP because they don't actually have to do these things they just feel they have to." I explain and see his face relax with understanding.
"Well sorry, I'll really try to remember to do that from now on." He says gesturing for me to come in.
I walk into his home and see a large living room with a kitchen connected to it. He had a nice big, comfy looking sofa and some matching love seats. The kitchen had a black granite island with some bar stools hidden beneath it.
It looked quite nice for a bachelor pad, his roommate must be a clean freak or something.
"You can follow me to my bedroom." He says walking up the carpeted stairs.
"Woah mister, don't think it's gonna be that easy." I say smirking to myself and following him up the stairs.
He opened the second door down the hallway and waved me in. Wow, that's unexpected.
I walk into his room and see the walls painted a dark grey color. He had red curtains covering his window and a few posters on his walls. I expected all of those things, but there was one, no wait, two things I hadn't.
1. His room was spotless. I mean I wouldn't be able to find a spec of dust anywhere in there. I guess he was the clean freak
2. There was a cute little black kitten sleeping on his pillow. I never really took him as an animal person, but I guess it makes sense. He is really sweet.
"Awwww who's this little guy?" I ask in a high pitched, cooing voice.
"That's Shadow. I got him about month ago. The shelter said he was about 5 months old so he's still a baby." Michael says walking over to the bed where I was petting the sleeping kitten.
"He's so cute......you know what, he kinda looks like you." I say looking over to Michael.
"You're saying I'm cute?" He asks getting all cocky.
"No....Well yes but that's not what I meant. I was trying to say you kinda look like a little kitten." I say rubbing his head like I had done to Shadow.
