This boy was his child.

His child.

His child.

And his name was Cheng Wenduo.

And this was his child.

No one could understand the feeling he feels at this moment after the realization. Heck, he himself can't properly explain it. Except that it was warm. And it filled up his entire body.

"Duo'er..." he whispered lightly as he pulled his son into his arms.

(A/N: 'Er' is a Chinese name of endearment, attached as a suffix to a name of a person)

The little boy stiffened before slowly relaxing in his mother's embrace.

Ian was just wallowing in the joy when he heard his son sniff, making him pull away in concern.

"Baby, is there anything wrong? Does something hurt?" Ian asked in worry.

The boy shook his head and sniffed some more as his mother hurriedly took a handkerchief from on the bedside table to wipe off his tears, "I'm just so happy that Mommy finally gave me a hug..."

This sentence made Ian pause. He then realized that his poor baby was probably neglected by the real Ian, which made him frown in guilt and sadness.

He bit his lip before pressing a loving kiss on his baby's forehead who looked up at him in shock.

"Don't worry baby! You can get as many hugs as you want from now on!"

Wenduo excitedly grinned as he dove back into the arms of his mother in joy. New tears streaming down his face and making his mother's pajamas wet, "Thank you, Mommy!".

~*~*~

The maids and butlers were currently staring in awe and confusion as the 'Lady' of the household suddenly demanded to cook breakfast for his son. Surprisingly, he was doing quite well for the fact that Master Ian has never cooked before since he came from a rich family and was spoiled.

'Ian' didn't know how to cook much since he ate hospital food most of his life, but he does remember how to cook some of the common homemade food he used to eat at the beginning of college. He made a simple omelet with some tomatoes so that his child could get some vegetables and some fried rice. (Edit: Previously says 'friend rice' LMAO)

He then watched as his son happily ate his mother's cooking in front of him. He couldn't help but grin as he himself ate. His son's face was stuffed, looking like a cute chipmunk and his eyes were so bright and sparkling with joy. He can't help but awe at the sight.

Afterwards, he told his son to wait for him in the living room while he washed the dishes. Wenduo shook his head and said he wanted to help his Mommy. Ian could only smile and nod as they both ignored the maids whose jobs were to wash the dishes.

Ian would wash the dishes and wipe them off then Wenduo would put them in the right cabinets, and he would help him if the places were too high for him to reach. Convenient since Ian doesn't really know where to put them.

Afterwards, they went outside to play in the backyard.

Wenduo couldn't help but let his curiosity show as he snooped around the bushes and plants while Ian tried making him a flower crown. Ian successfully made one, although slightly battered from his struggle, and put it on Wenduo's head who grinned widely then showed him a beetle he caught. Ian immediately placed the beetle back on the ground saying that the beetle has a home to get back to and that he should wash his hands. Baby Wenduo nodded and waved goodbye to the beetle that was slowly crawling away as his Mommy led him back inside.

Instead of just washing his hands though, he decided to bathe his baby. So they both entered the tub which was drawn by the maids. He asked for some toys for the "little bun" Wenduo to play with before locking the bathroom door. Baby Wenduo seemed to love playing with the warships he had as Ian washed his hair.

Soon right after, he took his son to the living room to watch some cartoons (Baby Wenduo picked Mulan!). They both cuddled on the couch watching the movie and just enjoying each other's presence.

That day was the most fun the 'mother' and son had ever had. They were so happy they could finally spend time with the one they love and it felt so exhilarating and warm and cozy.

Then the one thing that slipped from Ian's mind had finally come home after a work trip to C-Country.
