CHAPTER FIVE, dinner night!

TWO DAYS LATER

I kept my eyes on road, driving down to the nail salon while Jasmine sat in the passenger seat of my car. She and I went shopping earlier, and now we're deciding to finally get our nails done again. She's the main person I'm around all the time. We were two peas in a pod, we kept our circles small.

"You've been mia on me the beginning of this week," Jasmine nudged my arm, "how's hanging with Danny?"

"It was fun," I smiled, "but I haven't seen him since like, two days ago. I missed him, a lot."

"Did you see his new video he uploaded last night? Half of the people in the comments are talking about you."

"Of course they are," I smiled. "They just missed me, duh."

"You guys are so comfortable around each other, the friendship is so cute," Jasmine said in a teasing way, making me feel a bit shy, "I swear."

"That's what a long time friendship gets you."

"I know I've said this before, but there's just like, something. It's weird, I don't know how to explain it. It's like, a chance of you two getting together one day, I just get a different vibe from you two."

"Oh my," I rolled my eyes, "here you go, again."

Even though she always came off in a kidding way, Jasmine never failed to bring this up, she strongly believed that the 'jokes' would someday become true. No matter what I say, she will always have her own opinion. I've been dealing with this for too long, she just can't wait to rub it in face one day.

"Okay, I know, I know, friends... but there's some kind of tension! Everyone can see it, you can't even deny that," Jasmine defended herself. "I'm just sayin, the way Danny is when he's around you... but yeah, you're right. It's a friendship, so it's probably not even like that either. People have different levels of respect for others."

I nodded, letting out a sigh, "exactly... now what have you been up to?"

Jasmine groaned, throwing her head back onto the headrest of the seat. "I've been doing errands all week. I've been holding them off, so this week I just decided to take care of it."

"Finally!" I shook my head, "you're always lazy."

"Not lazier than you. You finally leave your house, thanks to Danny." Jasmine joked with me.

"Huh? I always leave my house!"

"Yeah, right!"

As soon as I got home, I showered and did other personal hygiene stuff, then I changed into comfortable clothes. Today was a relaxed day, so I didn't feel too tired. The last thing I needed, was to have dinner. I made my way downstairs, heading into my kitchen. I turned on the lights, looking through my pantry and fridge to see what there was to eat.

Suddenly, I had the idea to call Danny over, maybe if he wanted to have dinner with me. He leaves to go back to Florida tomorrow, might as well see if he wants to spend his last hours in LA with me. Just as I stopped what I was doing, my phone began to go off. Coincidentally, Danny was calling me. I chuckled softly to myself before answering it.
