CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN, honeymoon stage.

BRIELLE,

Finally, we got home. I was tired, and full from the dinner he and I had. I've been feeling bad all day that Danny has been paying, he didn't even let me pay for the dessert, at least. He just kept refusing, insisting he paid for everything. He says I do enough, but I don't even know with what. I did buy him some clothes, but it did not add up to how much he spent today.

I sluggishly got out of the car, carrying the bags that we got from the mall. It was already night by then, but the rest of the cars weren't in the driveway, so we knew everyone had still been out.  It was now raining hard again, but at least I get to sleep with the window cracked open to listen to the rain sounds... I love it.

We walked into the house and I placed the bags down on the island counter. Danny followed behind me, throwing his keys on the table. I turned around, reaching my arms out to him. He embraced me, lifting me off the ground a little.

"Thank you for today, I love spending time with you." I mumbled to him as I rested my head on his shoulder.

Danny squeezed me a little tight, "of course, babe. This day was definitely needed for us."

"This is what you call the honeymoon stage." I joke with him, as he gently put me back down on the ground.

He wrapped both of his arms around my neck, while I held his body. He looked down at me, "we'll always be in the honeymoon stage."

Danny leaned down, kissing me on the lips. I leaned in this time, asking for another one. His hands traveled down my back, down to my ass, which he gripped, as he leaned in for more kisses.

I pulled away from him, "oh, you like me." I cooed at him, as he gave me a cringed face.

He quoted, "I'm here to eat ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of bubble gum."

I replied to him, "too bad you're getting no ass."

Danny raised an eyebrow, "that's never a problem for me anyways."

I laughed, pushing him away. "Goodbye."

"I'm just kidding!" He immediately pulled my arm back to him.

"Go text... Kelsey, whatever her name is. Or how about— hmm..." I put my hand up, getting ready to count made up names, "let's see—"

He cut me off, "no, no, no. I can't hear you!" He shouted, "la, la, la."

I rolled my eyes, "I'm gonna go get washed up and changed. I'm ready to ease into the night."

Freshly showered and changed, I had my tv going with Danny's new video that he uploaded today. I laughed to myself, putting half of my attention on it while the other half of the things I got today from the mall. I organized them into my luggage, sorting them out neatly.

The video then got to the point of the birthday party. He recoded them messing around, talking to people, even the clip of me standing and eating alone. I shook my head and rolled my eyes, what did I expect? There was also a clip of him zooming in on Kewon and I, completely unaware while we silently talked to each other. It almost looked like we were gossiping, which made me laugh.

Then, the part where he kissed me after we sang happy birthday. I already knew half of the comments would be about that, I didn't even have to check it or be bothered to. I heard the guys outside of the room talking and laughing together, so I knew they were back at the house.

I laid down on the bed, posting random photos I've been taking here in Florida. I posted about three photos, one is of landscape, second is a picture of me and a girl who was a fan of me sitting down together at Danny's Cream Pies, and the third was a picture of food that looked delicious.

Before I got into bed, I left the room to go get a water bottle. I walked into the kitchen/living room area, seeing the guys crowded in there.

"There you are! We thought you were already in bed," Marsh said, "we just got back like an hour ago."

I shook my head, "I was just in the room watching tv. I came to get some water. What did you guys do today?"

Kewon shrugged, "we just did whatever we thought of. We even ended up at a fishing store, for who knows what. We got too caught up in time though, we realized it was late and we were getting tired."

"At least you guys had fun— that looks good, what is that?" I pointed to Marsh's take out plate.

"Chicken burrito, want a bite? This shit is good."

I nodded, taking the burrito into my hands. I took a big bite, causing Marsh's face to drop. I pointed at it, closing my eyes and nodding my head, "this shit is good."

Before I could take another bite, Marsh took it back into his hands. "Enough."

"You're greedy." Roscoe mumbled to him.

"Where is Daniel Duncan?" I asked, taking a sip from my water to wash the food down.

"Outside. He's with Alex, they're doing something. I don't know."

I opened the freezer, seeing his left over ice cream that I wanted a few bites from. I took a disposable spoon, dipping the spoon in it a few times, taking some bites. I threw the spoon away, putting his cup back into the freezer.

"Don't tell him, okay." I said to the guys.

Just then, I heard the garage door open, and I quickly fast walked around the corner towards the room.

"Was that Bri?" I heard him ask, "what's she doing?!"

"No? We don't know what you're talking about." I heard them backing me up.

I softly closed the bedroom door, sitting down on the bed. I went to finally floss and brush my teeth, I was ready to get into bed. Once I was done, I turned off the light, pulling the bed covers back. I resumed the tv, going back to the YouTube video. Standing next to the bed, I adjusted the tv volume to soft, but still loud enough for me to hear.

The window was also open, the rain sounds were lovely, I was excited to sleep. The door suddenly burst open, making me gasp. I got tackled gently onto the bed, being held tightly.

"Danny!" I squealed, "get off!"

Danny began to tickle my side, causing me to giggle. I tickled his back, which made him instantly give in and let go of me.

"I'm going to bed. Are you sleeping here or in your room?" I asked him.

"In here. Why do you think I came in here?" Danny welcomed himself into the bed, getting comfortable right next to me. "You're finally watching it."

"Yeah, I only have like four minutes left, though."

We both got comfortable in the bed, slowly falling more and more into sleep. I eventually changed the tv, turning it on to a tv show. Danny scooted over, cuddling himself closer to me while I held him. I knew once he fell asleep as his breathing got slower and a tad bit louder. His grip around me lessened and his body was relaxed.

I turned the tv off, now leaving us in complete dark with the sound of rain in the background. I turned my body all the way towards him, now we were facing each other as I was holding him.

I hope we're always in the honeymoon stage, like what Danny told me.

I played with his hair until I eventually fell asleep as well.
