CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO, birthday party.

BRIELLE,

Today was Danny's party and left for a little after we got most of everything set up. Since we started and finished early, he wanted to get out of the house for a little bit. He took Kewon and Alex with him, leaving the rest of us behind. I helped finish up everything that was left, including hanging up the banister that I got him.

Before people started to show up, I went back inside to freshen up and change. I touched up my makeup and hair, then I changed into new clothes. For the first time in forever, I wasn't wearing Danny's merch clothes.

I left the room, walking back outside into the backyard. Danny had already came back. He was looking up at the banister while Alex recorded it. Danny heard the sliding door close, making him look over to me.

"You bought this?!" Danny asked as he pointed to it.

I nodded with a smile, "yeah, do you like it? It was kinda hard hanging it up."

"Hell yeah, it's hard," he exclaimed, "I'm gonna hang this bitch up somewhere later on."

"You better not fuck it up, now." I pursed my lips together, giving him the look.

"I'm not, I don't destroy things I like... sometimes," He said with a giggle.

More and more people began to show up as it slowly got darker outside. There were a lot of people. Danny's family, friends, and even random people that I didn't know. Music was loudly playing and everyone was doing their own thing. Alex was filming most of the time. Danny was messing around and talking with everyone the whole time, like always.

I was able to talk to some of Danny's family members, including some of his friends. I also talked to some girls that introduced themselves to me. They approached me shyly, but seemed enthusiastic to talk to me. I liked being able to interact like this once in a while. Being around Danny definitely allowed me to do that.

I stood around, holding a plate in my hands. I was happy that I was finally able to eat, I had been waiting all day. I saw Danny starting to approach me with Alex following him. He pointed at me while laughing, making Alex turn the camera on me.

A smile formed on my face in the middle of chewing, making me turn the other way. I felt Danny's hand touch my lower back as he walked in front of me.

"Is it good? I was hoping the food would be good." He asked me.

I nodded, "it is. You want some?" I held my fork up to his mouth.

Danny opened his mouth allowing me to feed him. Danny nodded in approval. Alex turned the camera off, sighing in relief as he put the camera down. He wiggled his arms out, setting it down on a small table that was laid out.

"You're tiring him out with that big ass camera he carries around all day." I said, pointing my head towards Alex.

Danny shrugged, flinging his hand, "he's fine," he joked with me. "Why are you standing alone?"

"Because I'm eating! I was so hungry all day," I sighed, "and I can't talk while I'm trying to enjoy eating."

"Did you at least talk to people?"

"Of course. I'm not just gonna stand around the whole time. Is everything good?"

"Hell yeah. Everyone's having a good time so far."

I looked around us, seeing some people glancing over at me and Danny while we stood to the side and talked. Danny opened his mouth again, asking me to give him another bite. I packed the fork up, putting food in his mouth again.

"Why don't you go get yourself a plate? You don't wanna eat?" I asked him, as I fed him one more bite.

"I'll eat later on. I don't have too big of an appetite right now," he touched his stomach, giving it a rub. "I'm too—"

"Danny!" Someone yelled out.

Danny looked out in the distance, letting out his wheeze he always does. "Dude," he shouted back, "don't fuck up my shit!"

Everyone stood around close to the back porch as we were getting ready to sing happy birthday. Kevin and I held the big cake in our arms, carefully bringing it out of the house. We slowly placed it down on the table and Danny's mom put in the candles and lit it up.

Danny stood in the middle in front of the cake. I took my phone out, just right before we started to sing. As we sang to him, he smiled looking around at everyone. He looked awkward for once, making me laugh.

Danny blew the candles out and everyone clapped and cheered. He threw his arms in the air, clapping along with us. Me, the first person he laid his eyes on. He slowly approached me, grabbing my face and pulling me in for a kiss. He gave me a full big kiss, pulling in me more one time for another before letting me go. I was just in shock along with everyone else.

"What?!" I heard from someone who was standing next to me.

Danny went back to the table, grabbing nearly half of the cake off of the table. Us who were the closest to him, tried to move out of the way as we knew what he was about to do. He grabbed one of the guys, throwing the cake on him. A little frosting flung at some of us. It turned into a little play match as everyone stood around and laughed.

As soon as everything died down, everyone went back to doing their own thing. While I wiped the frosting off of me, Danny approached me asking for some napkins. He was covered in cake and frosting.

"Oh my goodness," I laughed, "you need to wash off. Napkins aren't gonna do anything."

"You wanna lick it off?" Danny joked, pointing to his neck. "I did it to you, it's your turn now."

I rolled my eyes, playfully pushing him back from me. "Go rinse off!" I laughed.

"You have some in your hair," Danny said, wiping it out from my hair. "Sorry."

"Look!" Danny and I both turned our heads, seeing Andrew with his photo camera.

Danny decided to carry me and I quickly wrapped my legs around my waist. He linked his arms together under me for support. I hugged him, pressing our cheeks together. We both smiled, looking at the camera as the flash went off. Now I was all covered with cake and frosting.

"I need a drink," Kewon said as he walked past us without turning his head. "Do you want a drink Bri? C'mon let's go get a drink."

I was already into my third drink, which was also gonna be my last. My body was starting to become slightly warm, so I knew I was getting tipsy. I sat around near the grass, talking to Danny's mom and sister. Pop! I flinched, quickly moving out of the way. I heard Danny's laughter from a distance.

"Fuck!" Danny's mom shouted, "he's starting with that firework shit now. Danny, stop!"

"That was Remy!" Danny yelled, "not me."

Danny began to light the bigger fireworks, setting it off. Everyone watched as it kept going off.

"He's gonna get the fucking cops called us on! It's getting late and he's setting off damn fireworks!" She exclaimed as she began to walk away.

I chuckled as I shook my head along with her. The party went well, or was going well. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, I had a good amount of fun as I played around and had some good laughs as well. I watched Danny while I leaned back in my chair, smiling at him having a fun.
