CHAPTER SEVEN, the morning after.

BRIELLE,

It was early in the morning, Danny and I had only got about three and a half hours of sleep... but it was our fault anyways for staying out so late. I already had finished washing up, showering, and getting all my things together. Danny had went into the bathroom after me, so he was still upstairs. I felt so sluggish, but I was used to days where I wasn't able to get any sleep.

I walked into the kitchen and decided to clean up a bit to save time while I wait. I threw away any trash that was on the counters, then wiped them down afterwards. I washed the tiny amount of dishes in the sink, putting them away.

After I was done, I grabbed my purse that was on the counter, searching for my phone. For the first time since I woke up, I checked my notifications seeing texts and two missed calls from Jasmine. I pursed my lips together, knowing what she was already wanting to talk about. I clicked on her call notification, calling her back. After a few rings, she picked up.

"BRI!" Jasmine quickly said, "Florida! Why didn't you tell me?"

I already knew she was talking about the video Danny posted of me while we were packing. "It was last minute! I was going to tell you sooner or later... today." I chuckled.

"I know, I know, I'm just messing with you," she laughed with me. "His whole instagram story is basically just you."

I walked out of the house, to his backyard. I sat down on the tiny staircase that led onto his back patio.

"Cause we hung out the whole night," I said, "we got back at his place at almost four in the morning. I realized he's been posting a lot of us lately too."

"Probably just content of you two. How long are you going to be in Florida?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "Danny told me two weeks or so, I'm not sure."

I heard Jasmine sigh, "you're going to end up fucking that man soon," she joked, "I swear."

I sucked my teeth, "I mean, hey, I wouldn't mind," I joked along with her, "but no seriously, that's a really unfortunate event."

"Well, you never know, Bri. You never know... if anything, put me on with one of his best friends! What about the camera guy?" Jasmine said.

"There's two... which one?" I laughed out loud.

"The tall one, brown hair... I'm just kidding. Well, call me before your flight. Keep me updated with things while in Florida! Stay safe, I love you!"

"I will, I promise. I love you too!" I said, and hung up the call.

I stood back up, turning my phone off. When I turned around, I saw Danny standing in the kitchen, leaning on the counter on his phone. I opened the sliding door, going back into the house. I approached him in the kitchen, smiling at him. I placed my phone on the counter, walking by his side.

"You didn't have to clean up," Danny turned his phone off and placed it on the counter as well. "I was going to do it." Danny lifted his arms up in the air, stretching back.

"It was only a little mess anyways," I shrugged. "It's okay."

Danny shook his head side to side, allowing his wet hair to stay out of his face. "I have a headache."

I softly placed a hand on his forehead, feeling his temperature. I then placed both of my hands on each side of his face, softly caressing it. As I did that, Danny stared at me the whole time with adoration in his eyes.

I took my hands off of him, "well, good thing you don't feel hot or anything... maybe it's because we didn't get enough sleep. Do you want Advil? I have some."

"Nah, it's fine. I already took some after I showered." Danny shook his head.

"Oh, okay," I said. "Are we going to meet everyone at the airport?"

Danny nodded, "yeah. My manager is gonna come here around ten to pick us up and drop us off at the airport," he replied. "Do you wanna go out to get food before we leave? We have plenty of time to kill."

"Yes, please." I said.

"Alright. I'm sure my headache will go away after I eat too."

Danny grabbed his wallet, putting it into his pocket. He grabbed his keys that were next to his wallet, along with a water bottle.

I stuck my hand out to him, "do you want me to drive? I can drive—"

"No, it's okay. I can drive, c'mon let's go," Danny did a nod towards the hallway, signaling for me to walk. "Nice outfit by the way, you look like a mini me."

I laughed, looking back at him. "My outfit was inspired by you," I said, causing him to let out a soft laugh as well. "Thanks for all of the merch by the way, I like it, it's comfortable."

Danny and I ended up at Denny's, which was our first option. We had already ordered our food, which we were now just waiting for.

"This is the longest that we've ever spent with each other," Danny said. "Kewon is texting me right now, he's mad cause I wasn't answering his texts all night."

"Jasmine did the same with me too!" I said, "well, our bad for being too busy with each other." I joked.

Danny turned his phone off, leaning back onto the booth. "I wish I could just bring you everywhere with me."

"You can, I don't mind. I'd rather spend my days around you, rather than do anything else," I smiled. "I've always understood why people love hanging with you."

"Yeah and you just match the damn energy. One main reason why we became friends."

"Yeah, now you're taking me to Florida!" I said with excitement. "First time, too! Can't wait to see Marsh, Cameron, and the rest!"

"I know, right? Can't believe I'm the one who's taking the prettiest girl in LA to Florida with me," Danny had that tiny smirk on his face. "They'll probably be happy to see you."

I pursed my lips together as I felt my stomach become nervous, "it's so weird to hear you talk like that..."

"Huh? Why?"

"Because you're always an asshole to everyone around you, even to me sometimes!" I laughed.

"Assholes like me have soft spots for people too, alright?" Danny put his hands up in surrender. "I'm a good person."

I playfully rolled my eyes, shaking my head. "Yes, you are," I nodded, "and handsome too."

Danny laughed as we both brushed off the convo. I loved how it was never weird between us, that's what made us so comfortable around each other.
