We arrived at the estate shortly and I quickly got out of the car to help Liam out. I didn't want him to bleed out and honestly, it was the least I could do after he saved me. I opened the door, handed my hand to him, and helped him out. I noticed Alessia running down the stairs.

"Liam!" She ran up to us and checked Liam out. She cupped her son's face, tilting his head to the side, trying to look for any more damage. "Oh god, we have to get help." Liam's arm wrapped around my neck before I began to walk forward towards the stairs.

"Laura can help," I said; Alessia nodded. We got up the stairs and went inside the house. Audrey and Beatrice sat in the lounge room to my left. Beatrice's eyes widened at the sight of Liam limping. Audrey jumped from the couch and ran up to us.

"Liam, what the hell happened?" He squeezed my shoulder. The anger inside me mixed with pain. Sure, it's just a bullet. But it's one thing to get away from one and there's a whole other thing to actually take it for the sake of another person.

"Questions later, he's in pain." We walked past them and I led him upstairs. "Your room will be okay right?"

"Yeah." I saw Luciana and Damiano in the corner. They knew that it would be best to stay out for now so they kept their distance. Honestly, I couldn't care less what my family thought. Even Vinc could see this and I wouldn't care.

"Luciana, can you get Laura?" She nodded before disappearing into the hallway while we went into Liam's room. I walked him to his bed and he laid down. Laura ran in with her tools shortly and placed everything down on the bed.

"You okay?" She looked at me with worry painted on her face. Her under eyes were still dark and her eyes were red. Even though her kids were back, life wasn't exactly the sweetest to her. "Maybe there shouldn't be as many people here. Liam's exhausted." I looked at Liam and he shook his head no.

"Everyone apart from Laura, Celeste and my mother can go. I'll talk to you later." His siblings and extended family members left the room and left us four. Liam placed his hand out and motioned me to take it. I didn't think it was a good idea because his mom was there but he was already suffering. After all, I didn't want him to be anxious. I placed my hand in his. My hand was quite small compared to his but strangely fit almost just right in his.

Laura sanitized the area before she took out her tools and got a hold of the bullet. It took a while but Liam didn't ask for any medication. I was sure this wasn't his first time, and hell, if it was me instead of him, I wouldn't ask for that either. He squeezed my hand a few times, as the pain began to irritate him. She took the bullet out and fixed up the wound. I looked at Liam, only to find him already looking at me. I smiled at him lightly and he winced a bit from the needle. I bent down to his ear.

"Do you need anything?" He shook his head no.

"Un bacio sarebbe bello." [A kiss would be nice.] I smiled and pulled away.
