I pulled Celeste to my chest as everyone's attention got turned to where the gunshots were fired from.

What the hell was about to happen?

The guards that surrounded us began shooting at the supposed target while we tried to run out of here. I held on to Celeste tightly because I was not going to lose her. Not again.

We ran towards the cars before I pulled out my gun. I looked for the target and noticed three snipers on the roof of the church.

"Three on the roof," I said and Ce looked up. I aimed my gun at them and fired, knocking one of them out. Just as we were about to reach the cars, Ce stopped me. I looked back at her, noticing her pale face. I turned my head in the direction she was looking at. I noticed Luca.

What the fuck?

I aimed the gun at him, making him smile.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Two tall men emerged behind him, holding two guns aimed right at us.

"You..." Celeste struggled to speak.

"Yes, little wife-"

"The fuck is your problem? She's not-"

"Shut the fuck up." He fired back at me, making my blood boil.

"Luca, don't you dare lay one finger on my daughter!" Dante shouted; Luca laughed it off.

"I plan to treat her very well, Mr Rossi. And this time without your blessing." He smirked and began walking towards Cel and I. She was petrified. Her hand gripped mine before she stepped behind me. What hurt me the most was the fact her hand was shaking uncontrollably.

Fuck, my love.

"What is this sorcery?" I kept my gun aimed at him.

"You can't do shit to her." He chuckled.

"I can if I want to."

"She's mine. So put your big boy pants on and deal with it." He was taken aback by my statement.

"Yours? Yours?" He said it louder with each word. "I own her. She has been mine since I fucking met her." I let out a laugh.

"How can you say that when she shakes uncontrollably the moment she sees you? Why does she fear you immensely if she's supposed to like you, just like you sickly like her?"

"Don't tell me she hates me. She doesn't. She had to be taught how to be a proper wife." I pulled the trigger, letting the bullet hit the bodyguard behind him. He looked back at the casualty. "Impressive. Although," he looked back at me, "I was expecting the bullet." I shot him in his chest before I aimed my gun at the other man behind Luca. He dropped dead but the dipshit didn't move an inch. He started laughing. "You think I'd come here unprepared? I knew the moves you'd make. It wasn't much of my surprise when my predictions became true."
