For a short amount of time, we had calm surround our helicopter. That was until we were hit again, throwing us out of balance.
"Fuck, it was the one on the right." Liam squeezed my hand.
"No matter what, don't you dare land on any of our properties." Alex nodded.
"What if we land at the airport?" I looked at Margo. "I mean, it's not the best choice but I could call someone to come get us." We couldn't do anything better than that, I suppose.
"Get two cars there. When they get there we'll land." She nodded and took out her phone. "Cazzo." I winced from the sharp pain in my head. Liam placed his hand on the side of my face, turning my head to face him.
"What hurts?"
"It wasn't anything serious-"
"What hurts?" He demanded.
"It was my head."
"Fuck," he said under his breath. "Do you want some pain-" I shook my head no.
"I'll be fine." He looked at my lips and then back to my eyes.
"Gosh, can you just kiss already? Some of us aren't patient." Margo said, making me shoot her a deadly glare.
"Margo!" She giggled to herself. This was certainly entertaining her. I hated it. I looked back at Liam. He smiled before placing a kiss on my forehead. He took his hands off me.
"Two vehicles are five minutes away," Margo announced.
"You can begin landing, Alex."
"Whatever you please," the helicopter took a turn just as bullets began to fire at our aircraft. "Fuck, they'll go with us."
"So be it," Dante said as I looked over at him. "Vlad won't win. If he thinks that two helicopters landing with us will kill us then he's a fool."
"It's worth taking the risk," Liam said. In the corner of my eye, I noticed Margo. She had her arms crossed over her chest and looked at me with a grin I barely see on her. One that says 'You like him, don't you?'. I hated the fact she knew me so well. But then again, that's why she's my best friend.
"What now?"
"Cosa?" Liam looked at me. "Didn't you hear? Inspiring words, Cel." I rolled my eyes and looked through my window.
"Very disrespectful, Cel."
"I know right, it's so annoying." Liam agreed before I heard Mar chuckle.
"See, he understands." I turned to look at her.
"If you say another thing that doesn't regard this landing, I'll put a bullet in between your eyes."
"Hun, last time I checked, Liam is related to this." He couldn't help but smile.
