Next day

I woke up and immediately grabbed my phone. We talked after I landed and before she went to bed. I missed her. I really did. I saw a text message from Celeste, making me grin like a child on Christmas.

Celeste: Buongiorno, I hope you slept well. We can FaceTime later.

I smiled and got out of bed. I stayed in our family penthouse in London. Alex came with me, which was nice. I liked having someone as close as him here. The next three days here would be hard to stay away from her but I had responsibilities.

I walked into my closet and began to get dressed. I put on my standard outfit: a black dress shirt, whose sleeves I rolled up, black dress pants and this time white Nike sneakers. I put my silver Rolex on and fixed my hair. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and then left my bedroom to meet Alex in the living room. I walked in and saw him sitting on the white couch, his eyes locked on his phone screen.

The apartment was an old one but completely renovated just about five years ago to a much more modern look. Alex looked up at me from his phone.

"Hi, slept well?" I nodded before he stood up.

"You?"

"Pretty well. How are you holding up away from her?" I smiled as I looked at him.

"Not okay." We began to go towards the elevator.

"You know, you really like her." I chuckled. Maybe it was hard for me to understand but I've never liked anyone like her. She was the best thing that had happened to me probably since the time I was born.

"You think I don't know that?" I said as I pushed the elevator button.

"Yes, but you said the same with Sophie and trust me, bro, if that was your so-called everything then what the fuck is this?" I smiled as the elevator door opened and we walked in. Alex pressed the button to the garage as I crossed my arms over my chest. "But I like her. She'll put you in your place." I furrowed my brows and looked at him.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Well, sometimes you're a bit too full of yourself." I rolled my eyes and looked away from him. "No offence, but it's true."

"The only reason you don't have a bullet in your temple right now is that you're my friend."

"Nice." The doors opened before we got out of the elevator and went towards our car. One of my guards opened the backseat door, letting me sit in. Alex went around and got in shortly. I put my seatbelt on and leaned back.

We were heading to our business and marketing building here in London. Someone tried to hack into our servers and business account but failed. It was nice to have Alex help me out since he installed the best security system he could to protect our businesses from assholes, who desperately thought that this was the only way to make us weaker.
