Chapter 8: Jokes

You're walked into a room and the girl started taking out medical supplies. She tried to treat sangwook but he wouldn't let her. He walked out of the room.

Hyun su stood up. "Y'all both look hurt to" she said.

"No, we are fine" Hyun su said.

"Move your hand it will get infected if I don't treat it"

"I'll do it myself give me a bandage" Hyun su said. At first you didn't understand why he kept saying he didn't need help but then you looked at your arm that was sliced open. And the cut wasn't there anymore. Then all of a sudden the old man held a crossbow to Hyun su. "Move the hand kid" he demanded. "You're turning aren't you"

"Yu-ri get away from them" he said. She backed away. "Put your hand down!" The man raised his voice. "Or else I'll make sure your heart dont beat again"

Hyun su put his hand down revealing that there was no longer a cut on his forehead. "Get out, I wouldn't have helped you if I knew you were a monster" he said to Hyun su.

"Okay then you can't help me either because my cut healed too" you said lifting your sleeve to show you no longer had a cut on it from the monster.

"Get out!" The man yelled. You grabbed Hyun Su's hand. He looked and the ground and y'all started to walk away.

Then you heard a chuckle behind you. Turning around, the man was laughing. "You have such a bad hobby Mr.An" the girl said.

"I was just kidding" the man laughed.

You turned on your sword and held it up. Hyun su gently grabbed your hand. And turn the switch off. You looked at him as he lowered your hand.

"You don't have the leave" the man continued. "Why would I be scared of that when I'm going to die soon anyway?"

You rolled your eyes. "Y'all are headed to the 14th floor right? And there are kids there." The man asked.

Hyun su nodded. "Don't y'all need someone who isn't afraid of death" .

"Mr.An" the girl said.

"Your fired" the man looked at her with a smile. "You have done well nursing an old man With a bad temper. I want to play superhero before I die. Can you let me join you?" He asked setting his crossbow on his shoulder.

"Your just acting Tough" Hyun su said. The man's smile dropped. "What?" He asked.

"Don't fool yourself. No one really wants to die." Hyun su said firmly.

"Is becoming rude one of the symptoms of turning into a monster?" The man asked pushing his glasses up. "Let me give you some advice kid. Not being afraid of death. And wanting to die are different things. I'm planning on living longer than anyone." The man smiled. Hyun su looked at the ground.
