There's chaos everywhere. Bombs are exploding, grounders are killing everyone who stands in their way, people are shooting blindly and Clarke, Finn and I are waiting for Bellamy to come so we can close the dropship. Our plan is to burn the grounders in a ring of fire and we have to do it now, or the grounders will overrun us.

"There he is!" Finn shouts next to us. Bellamy comes running back through the gate. "He's never going to make it. Bellamy, run!" Clarke yells at him. An enormous grounder pushes Bellamy and begins to hit him with his fists. It looks like the grounder could kill him but he manages to defend himself.

Suddenly Finn jumps up, pulls a gun from someone's hands and runs toward the grounder. It is no use as the grounder just throws the gun away. Finn ends up on the ground and Bellamy can't defend him anymore, so I don't hesitate and get up to hit the grounder in his face. For a moment he's out of balance but then he picks me up easily and throws me on the ground.

My arm hits a stone and I cry out in pain. The grounders are getting the upperhand, so I know Clarke has to hide in the dropship and activate the ring of fire. And I know Bellamy, Finn and I won't make it. With one last look at Clarke I make her clear that she has to go. I see her running to the dropship and I realise it may be the last time I see her.

Just as the door of the dropship is about to close, a group of grounders come running and I use the chaos to grab Finn and start running towards the forest. We run for or lives and when I look behind me, I see Bellamy escaping too. We come across the small bunker we hid in with Charlotte and I motion for Finn to hide in there. I open the door and Finn jumps straight in. I wait for Bellamy to get in there too and close the door behind me.

"We are safe from the fire here", I say more to myself than to them. I notice my arm bleeding from the stone I fell on earlier, so I grab a blanket and wrap the torn part around my arm. Just as I'm about to lie down on the bed, I hear the frightening sound of hundreds of men getting burned alive. At least Clarke is safe now.
