After going back to the dropship with Finn to get Raven, we reunited with the others from the Ark. Seeing Abby again gave me mixed feelings: I was happy to see her, but sad because she reminded me of my parents, and Clarke of course. I've known her since forever because my mom used to work under her. She was a nurse and Abby was her supervisor, but they were best friends actually. That's the reason I became friends with Clarke and Wells.

Finn told me Raven needs to go into surgery, so now I've been sitting here in front of the medical tent, just waiting. He said only one person could stay with Raven and asked me if I wanted to, but I know she would've liked it more if he stayed. They have been in there for about an hour, so I think the surgery will start soon. I look around at the 'camp' Kane set up and the people working here. They seem happy at least. Suddenly a series of horrible screams fill the air. It sounds like the surgery started.

It's about two minutes later and I can't take it anymore. It's one thing to see someone in pain, but it's another when you hear it. I stand up, trying to tune the noise out, and walk towards where Kane is talking to some guards. "Sir", I begin as the guards leave and he turns to me, "I'm here for a job. I'm good at hand-to-hand combat and I want to help protect people." "Listen, you've only been here for a day and my guards had to train months for their job, so you're not ready for it yet", he says. He must've seen the disappointed look on my face because he quickly continues. "However, there are kids here who need some distraction and I think you could use it too. Are you up for that?"

Not exactly what I had in mind but playing with kids doesn't sound too bad either, I've always liked them. "Yes, sir, I'll find them right away", I say. "Good." Kane turns around to find the guards again. "Sir, one more thing. Can I join the team that'll search for the missing people?", I ask before he walks away. He turns back and looks at me before answering. "We're not planning on doing that anytime soon, but when we do I'll inform you", he says. I nod and walk away, clenching my jaw. They're not even going to search for our friends when they could be in danger.

I lie on bed in the room they gave me and share with Raven. Her surgery went well, but she stays in the medical tent for some time. Even though I'm exhausted from playing with needy kids, I still can't fall asleep. It doesn't help that it's awfully quiet in here: no rustling leaves from the wind, no nightly animals searching for a place to sleep... I kinda miss sleeping in the woods, but this bed is way more comfortable.  Suddenly I hear footsteps by the door. "Come on." Finn comes barging in with a backpack and a huge pliers. "Where are we going?", I ask surprised as I sit up in bed. "We're going to get our friends. Or do you want to stay here and play with kids some more?" His smirk is visible even in the dark. "I'll come", I say as I jump out of bed and get dressed. "Lets get our friends."
