"I hate you! I hate you!" I hear someone shouting in the distance and get up immediately to investigate the noise. Raven is punching Murphy and just when I want to intervene, Luna appears out of nowhere and puts her arms around her, falling to the ground. "Breathe. Listen to my voice, Raven", Luna calms her. She holds Raven close, reciting something in Trigedasleng. Why the hell am I attracted to that? I've never looked at her in that way ever since we crashed her oil rig, but she is attractive. Her red wavy hair, her rough grounder-appearance and still elegant slim figure, her desire for peace ... She looks so different from Clarke and yet I'm intrigued.
"She will be okay, right?", I ask Luna after Raven calmed down and went for another try in the simulator. "Yeah, she will. And you?" Her eyes scan me quickly as she turns to me. "Apart from the fact that we'll probably all be wiped out in a few months, I'm pretty good actually", I answer dryly. The corners of her mouth form a small smile and involuntarily, my eyes are being glued to her lips. My cheeks flush a little as my thoughts wander with what I could do to those lips. I shake my head to come back to reality and see her still smiling at me. Crap, I hope she didn't notice.

"Hey, Abby said I should check on you, so ... How are you?", I ask Luna as she sits up in the sofa-bed where she rests. "I'm fine." Yeah, you are. "Good", I say instead. "Can I ask you something? Why did you help us when you could've just walked away on that beach?" The words leave my mouth as soon as she nods in permission. "I liked your speech."
My speech was a pathetic attempt to convince Luna to stay on the island with us. I didn't think it would work but apparently, she liked the sappy words I improvised.
"You're not a prisoner, Luna. You can leave if you want to. We just want humanity to survive, even when we don't deserve to. There are people who are good, who are pure. Like Adria. If you don't want to do it for us, at least do it for them.""Why did you try to warn me when Clarke wanted to put the flame in me?", Luna wakes me from my thoughts. "I just ... didn't want you to turn into something you aren't." I watch the ground intently, remembering every little detail of Fin's dead. He was my friend and turned into some sort of savage, killing innocent grounders. And the worst thing? I helped him do it. I searched their homes instead of keeping an eye on Murphy and him.
"I know exactly what you mean, so thank you." She looks at me grateful and I suddenly understand what she's saying. She was talking about that guy she loved, Derek?, who took the chip and tortured her before dying. "I think we both went through things that are not so different from each other", she continues. "Yeah..." I stare at her, not knowing what to say. So not only she's gorgeous asf but she also cares about people, me included I hope. "Maybe we should both move on then?", she concludes as I'm momentarily paralyzed staring at her lips when she wets them. Oh boy, I'm in trouble.
