Step Brother Min Yoongi

Chapter 27

All I could do was shake as Krystal neared me with the kitchen knife. This kind of stuff only happened in the movies and dramas.

"That doctor should have kept his mouth shut." She spat venomously, "If I knew this was what was going to happen I would have dealt with him before."

Deal with him? How? I wondered.

"Really good natured people are idiots or rather be more cautious." She sighed. I couldn't think that she was the same person she was up until a little earlier, how she looked at me and how she spoke. It was like she was taken over by an evil spirit. She twirled the knife as if it was a toy as she smiled at me.

"I wonder if as a child from a previous marriage you would understand. Pretending to be a lady." She said.

"Pretending to be a lady?" I asked not understanding.

"I don't have either of my biological parents in my life. I was an abandoned child." She said. I didn't know that but of course I wasn't close enough to her to know this. Did Yoongi know?

"I was adopted by my current parents when I was in grade school. There I was abused." She said.

"Krystal-"

"Don't. I'm not saying this for sympathy." She said with a small smile, "I got a chance to climb to the top. Despite everything, I'm fairly grateful but they are no longer any use to me." 

I stayed quiet.

"Even if they were to die, I wouldn't get much inheritance. That Chaeyoung is why I can't afford to let Yoongi go."

"But but my brother is already to be contacted-"

"Oh that's not a problem at all dear. Earlier I was contacted by someone I hired."

"You hired?"

"When I heard that you've been in contact with my doctor I took some immediate measures. One doctor has disappeared from that hospital."

"What?!" How far was she willing to go just for money?

"Yoongi will marry and be none the wiser about what has been going on. Isn't that just great?" She asked with a mouth splitting grin.

"When I was kidnapped, did that person-"

"Oh so you did notice." She chuckled, "Maybe you're just a little smarter than I gave you credit for." 

"And the day at the competition." 

"I almost forgot about that." She laughed, "But that one was just a little prank."

"Yoongi will know you're lying!" I suddenly yelled. I don't know where I got the courage to but it clearly angered Krystal.

"Will he? He hasn't so far and last time I checked you two weren't much for being close anymore." 

"That that-"

"Cat got your tongue? Yoongi is just too good hearted. I may have him because he feels horrible for what he did in the past but I got him nonetheless. I'll get him to love me like he did once before." She swore. Just by her tone I knew she would keep that promise she made. I just didn't know if Yoongi would ever love her again.

I heard the sound of a vibrating phone and so did she. Krystal took her phone from her back pocket and looked at the phone with a cool face.

"They'll be here shortly to pick you up once they finish their first task." She said looking up at me. Too bad, I wanted to invite you to the wedding. I wished to have you as a bridesmaid." She frowned.
