Usually I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Today I woke up to the screaming of a car horn. I reached for my phone and checked the time. 9 AM was displayed on my phone and I practically flew around getting ready.

"Oh God Yoongi's going to kill me. I'm so late." I hissed. I had slept through my alarm I set for 7.

Even getting dressed the honking continued as I hurriedly changed into appropriate clothing. The honking was only making me more panicked.

"Ah! I get it!" I yelled to Yoongi who I knew was honking. He couldn't hear me from here but it was the thought that counted. After brushing my teeth I ran down to the car with my make up bag and hair band between my teeth.

'No wonder he made me pack and have people load the car last night'

I reached the car and with shaky hands got in. Yoongi turned to me with a dark look only to press the horn one final time for about 5 seconds.

"Oppa I'm sorry. I slept in." I tried apologizing.

"Obviously! Don't you know how to set an alarm properly?" He shouted.

"I'm sorry. Let's just go yeah?" I asked. Yoongi sighed and sped off towards the airport.

His mood never lightened either. I pulled down the mirror and fixed my hair into a low ponytail. Thank god I made the decision to straighten it last night rather than this morning.

"I can't believe. Thank god I put a tint on this car. People can see you putting on make up in the car." Yoongi scoffed seeing me opening my bag.

"Well there's no way around it now." I said.

"Did you read the book? Finish it?" Yoongi asked, "What part of anything you're doing is lady like?"

"I read that book until late last night which is why I slept through the alarm. You only gave me three days to finish a book with the thickness of a Bible." I defended myself.

"So you're saying all of this is my fault?" He asked with disbelief and anger. "God help me. If you use that kind of tone in New York you'll be sent right back here. You know that right."

"Yes! I know that!" That's all he's been on me about for the last three days. Finishing the book and how to act when we were in New York. Some times I wanted to sew his mouth shut.

"Do you really?" Just like that we were speaking calmly.

Yoongi's real grandmother lived in New York. I though the woman from the shop was his maternal one but he said he just knew her for so long that halmoni is what he called her. In New York I would be meeting her officially for the first time as a proper successor candidate.

"I don't even know why I'm worrying about you to be honest. I'm your rival in this, why am I trying to help you?" He asked.

"No way. You're scared to see her."

"Am not." Yoongi glared at me for a second before focusing back on the road.

Yoongi's grandmother was very strict. Not even he himself could compete with her. Obviously if he can't go against her, I had no chance.

"What do you think she'll say?" I asked him.

"That you should wear less make up." He snarked.

"I meant regarding the succession. Jerk." I muttered the insult. He either heard it and chose to ignore it so we didn't yell again or he really didn't hear it.

"I I wish I could tell you. But, not even a future seer could tell you what she might say." He sighed, "But be prepared to be told some harsh words."
