jennie is a vampire. lisa is a human.
obviously, it's a forbidden love story because they are in a world where humans and vampires are not friends. the two creatures fight for victory and freedom. but what could they do when jennie and lisa just could not control their feelings for each other?
"i will not let you leave the house, manoban," rosie spoke from the living room.
rosie did not bother to look up from her magazine as she could already sense her sister sneaking out the house even though it was already night time.
night time was when all humans must lock themselves in their houses and wait until sunrise because it was the time when vampires would freely go to the outside world and take their time to enjoy the moonlight. it became normal actually with the humans being able to freely go out in daytime while the vampires freely go out in night time; they did not have to encounter upon each other and they were totally okay with it.
"oh, rosie. i didn't notice you there hehe," lisa nervously laughed as she scratched the back of her head.
"stop playing dumb and stay away from the door," rosie said in a serious tone as she flipped the pages of the magazine that she was holding.
"i'm just going to fix my bike. i forgot to put a lock on it," lisa lied and sucked her lips in, which was a habit that she had whenever she lied.
"you could've done it earlier when the sun was up."
"eh, i forgot. i just remembered about it now," lisa pouted as she played with her fingers.
"lisa, i said no. i don't care whatever you're up to with your life. i just want you to stay at home--" before rosie could even finish her sentence, the door creaked open as heavy footsteps disappeared out the house, which made rosie widen her eyes as she stood up and threw the magazine on the coffee table across her. "LISA!!"
lisa laughed in delight as she ran as fast as she could away from her house, feeling the cold wind blow her black hair back. it had been a long time since she got to feel the cold night breeze. evenings were her favorite part in a day before vampires came to their lives.
it was all so sudden; one night, vampires were flying above the city and targeting every human being that they could see. fortunately, only a few were bitten by the vampires as everyone was not dumb enough to not rush to their homes unlike most characters in horror movies.
"hey, over here."
hearing that whisper, lisa immediately turned her head to a dark alleyway as she saw the pale face that she had been missing for the past week. a big smile automatically appeared on lisa's face as she ran to the narrow pathway and hugged the woman who was leaning on the back. they did not waste any more time as lisa attached their lips on each other; their lips moved in sync as the kiss expressed clearly about how they missed each other so much.
"i missed you," jennie whispered as she leaned her forehead against the latter's.
"i missed you more. rosie actually caught me earlier but i ran off before she could even catch me," lisa chuckled, making the latter chuckle as well.
"so, to the usual place?" jennie asked as they leaned back from each other and intertwined their fingers.
"to the usual place," the both of them smiled and stared at each other lovingly before they began to walk away while holding hands.
the pretty view of the city--it was what lisa missed seeing. their usual place to hang out was on the rooftop of a tall abandoned building. how did lisa get up there? jennie carried her as they flew all the way up there, of course. before the vampires, the city used to be filled with lights that illuminate the beauty of the city though it was now different as most buildings had no lights anymore. i mean, only vampires were out at night anyway. still, lisa loved to watch the city with jennie by her side even though it was not the same as before. as long as she is with jennie, the whole world is still pretty.
