Once again, Nico was dragged to a party. A college party might I add, Piper refused to let Nico spend Thanksgiving by himself. Nico didn't want to go but Piper was his best friend and he didn't have a choice. All she said was that they were gonna meet up with some friends who just got engaged and they invited them to dinner.

All Nico heard was free food so he reluctantly agreed to join her. She said to bring a dish, something good so Nico went to the supermarket and bought something already made and put it in one of his dishes to pass it off as though he made it.

He was far too lazy to make a dish himself, especially because he didn't know who he was meeting.

Piper picked him up at 5 pm sharp with her boyfriend Jason who also happened to be his best friend as well.

"Hey, Nico! What's up?" Jason ruffled Nico's hair.

Nico scowled and pushed his hand away lightly, "Nothing much, I just have to go socialize." he grimaced visibly and sighed. "I don't like people, I hope you know that."

"Aw, but you don't hate us." Piper chirped in.

"You're not people, your my best friends, there's a difference."

They looked at each other and squealed quietly, "Jason did you hear?"

"Yes, Pipes! He said it!"

"I know." they laughed between each other as if Nico couldn't hear them.

"Can we go now?" Nico rolled his eyes and getting in the passenger seat.

"That's my seat Nico," Jason whined.

"Not anymore sparky, you get the backseat." Nico pointed to the back seat, buckling himself in.

"That's racist." Jason crossed his arms and huffed

"Jason you're white," Nico deadpanned

"So are you, Nico," Jason retorted

"Yes but I'm Italian, not American like you."

"So?"

"Jason, darling, get in the back before I leave you here." Piper smiled evilly.

Nico stifled laughter and Jason whined before getting in the back. "I hate it here, I wanna go home."

"Welcome to the club," Nico replied.

Piper pulled up to a small condo, enough to house a family of four or five. From the outside Nico noticed the homey feeling to it, making him remember his past with his older sister. She passed due to a hunting accident. Nico saw someone through the window who looked oddly familiar.

"Are we here then?" Nico asked.

"No Nico, we pulled into a random person driveway to rob them," Piper replied sarcastically.

"Well, that's not very smart, at least wait till they're not home," Nico replied with just as much sarcasm.

"Yes, we're here." Piper replied, "you guys have everything?"

"No," Nico replied.

"What?! What did you forget?!"

"My will to live."

"God damn it, Nico, you can't forget something you've never had," Piper replied before getting out of the car.

"Ouch," Jason replied.

"I know that one kinda stung." Nico winced. He sighed and got out of the car. He closed his eyes and began to mentally prepare himself for the long social interaction that was about to begin.
