Chapter Seven - Notes

Nico's pov:

After Will and I first got together he has been leaving me notes by my door. Little tiny sweet little notes. It was adorable, I for one will never admit it but I secretly loved them. No one knew about us which made this note sneaking better. I looked out my door today to see a cutie, I picked it up and saw some writing on it. It read You are my cutie, with a smiley face.

I smiled lightly before making my way back inside, I set it down on my desk, I wrote down the note and saved it with the others. There was You're sweet like candy, you make my ventricles beat, you're a hoot with a small owl attached to the note. There were many more but... they're mine so piss off. I made my way down to the infirmary and I set my own note by Will's desk.

There was a smarty candy with a note that says You are my smartie. :) I smiled and I shadow traveled away, when I made my way over to the infirmary again later today I saw that Will was blushing as his sisters and brothers pestered him.

"Who is it?"

"OOOh Will has a secret admirer."

"Shut up," Will said blushing he looked towards the door where I wait, "Welp, Nico and I have a walk to go on. I'll be back."

Will pulled me by my arm into the woods. We made our way over to a destroyed Zeus's fist, I was smiling at Will. "You- That was the first time you ever made me a note and left it for me."

"Of course it was sunshine, I figured I'd make you blush this time."

He groaned, "Man, my siblings were on my case about that."

"I have an idea." I looked up at him, Will was looking at me with curiosity. I grabbed his lab coat and pulled him down to my eye level, I leaned forward and planted a kiss on his lips. He was shocked as we pulled away, "Feel better?"

"Hmmn, I think we should try again," he said with a dopey grin, I laughed and pulled him into another kiss. This time more heated one, my lips brushed against him and he moved his in sync with mine. He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him, I wrapped my arms around his neck and did the same. We forgot that you could breathe out of your nose and we pulled away gasping for air. Will leaned his forehead against mine, our noses and lips inches away from each other.

We heard rustling behind us in the trees and bushes, I turned to the shadows and whispered, "Find them." Their form wavered as an indication that they understood their job. I grabbed Will's hand, "Someone was here- what if..."

"Nothing will happen, Nico, we are greek after all."

I managed a small smile, "I suppose, let's go back. The shadow will tell me later." just as I said that the shadow returned with no one in hand. "No one, was it just the wind?"

"Nico there was a slight breeze today, you'll be fine."

"It's different for me, you grew up in the 20th century and I grew up in the 1930s where people were killed in the streets for being gay."

"We'll be okay Nico, I'll be with you."

"Alright," I said reluctantly, as he led me to my cabin.

"Nap time?"

"Naptime," I confirmed as he came inside with me.

We laid on the bed together, our legs intertwined. I was very happy, I could feel Wills heartbeat against my ear. I sighed intently before drifting off to sleep, there were no nightmares just black and peacefulness.

I woke up later to Will's snoring, it was adorable when he snored. I studied his features and was in awe of how many freckles he had on his face. I looked around and found a pen and I connected his freckles as if they were constellations. I laughed silently as Will just kept on snoring, I nudged my face into Will's neck. It was warm and cozy, I was glad I had Will with me.
