LILY NEVER TALKS ABOUT HER SISTER SO I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OUR CHRISTMAS DINNER. We arrived at the restaurant early and we were waiting for Petunia and her fiancé.

"Before they arrive, I have a few things to tell you," Lily said "Just don't talk about magic in front of them and I doubt her fiancé knows about the wizarding world but even if he did, he will most likely share the same ideals as my sister."

"Yes dear, I know," I said. Lily had been badgering me about this since we left for King's Cross station. I even donned the most muggle clothing items I owned, a dark blue silk suit with a white shirt without the tie. Lily wore a garden frock in a similar color.

Lily's grip on my hand tightened, her brilliant green eyes locked at the entrance of the restaurant. "They're here," Lily whispered. I turned my attention towards the door and saw a couple walk in hand in hand, which I assumed was Petunia and her fiancé.

Petunia was a thin, blonde-haired woman with a really long neck. She had a long face, lantern jaw, and large teeth. She was quite different from Lily. She had large, pale eyes, which were blue unlike Lily's. The red evening dress with a plunging neck line that she wore, made her neck look longer. It was hard to believe that they were sisters. Her fiancé, however, was a big, beefy man with a large purple face. He had thick, dark hair, a bushy black moustache, with hardly any neck and mean little brown eyes. He looked like some sort of a salesman in his grey suit with a red tie.

"Lily, it is... lovely to see you," Petunia said. She paused before saying lovely to show that she didn't actually mean it. "This is the love of my life, Vernon Dursley, and Vernon, this is my sister Lily and her friend James Potter."

"My boyfriend, James Potter," Lily corrected. They sat down at the table and we ordered dinner.

"So, Vernon, what do you do for a living?" I asked, trying to strike a conversation.

"Oh, I'm a Drill Salesman at Grunnings," he boasted, proudly "Got a nice and lovely car outside. Bought it when I first got the job."

"He's been earning a lot of money too," Petunia said "But I would love him even if he didn't."

"What about you, James?" Vernon asked.

"I'm only seventeen," I said.

"No, no I meant what kind of car do you drive?" he asked with a small glint in his eyes. He was sure to be proud of his car. The waiter arrived with our food and started setting it on the table. I waited for him to leave before I answered Vernon's question.

"Oh, no one in my family drives," I said "Or own a car."

"Ah, figures," he said "I mean, I suppose wizards have to live on unemployment benefit." He said 'wizards' in a soft whisper. So he did know about the wizarding world and just like Lily suspected, he hated us.

"On the contrary," Lily said, trying hard to hid the fact that she was really cross "James' family is very rich." Vernon was angry. I gripped his fork tightly in his hands, turning his knuckled white.

"Relax darling," Petunia soothed Vernon "It's okay. You know how today's society is. A person with moderate income can be called rich." Vernon let go of the fork and his mood seemed to become a bit better.

"I agree," I said, smirking a little "I completely agree. That is if you can call a person with a fifty-five acre house and a solid gold fortune so high that they probably won't have to work a day in their life and yet support a lavish lifestyle for them and their wife and any children that they might have of their own, moderate income." Vernon was outraged. It probably wasn't a good idea to make him angry but I couldn't let him taunt my financial status.

"I'm getting the car. We're leaving," Vernon fumed as he put his napkin on his plate "I'll pay the check at the front door so Rich boy can see what kindness is." He got up and stormed off.

"Now you've done it," Petunia scowled "How dare you insult him like that!" Petunia turned to me as she said her second sentence.

"How dare James!?" Lily spat "Your fiancé is the one who was acting very rudely! What was he supposed to do? Stand there and take it just to amuse you? Never!"

"This is all your fault," Petunia said "Did you just accept my invitation just so you could make him feel bad?"

"No, of course not," Lily scoffed "I came here so that we could patch things up and it could be like old time, but looks like I was a fool for thinking so."

"Did you just invite Lily just so you could humiliate her?" I asked.

"No," Petunia said coldly "I invited her because mum and dad really wished for a family dinner before I got married, so I thought that I should just invite Lily and have a family dinner with the only family I've got since they won't be there for the wedding. I should have known. You ruin everything, freak!"

"Hey, you do not get to talk to her like that!" I growled "Lily is the best thing that happened to this world and I will not have you talk to her like that!"

"You know it's all your fault that mum and dad won't be at the wedding," Petunia shrieked "It's all your fault."

"How is it my fault?" Lily said, blinking back tears.

"You just had to go to the school of freaks," Petunia said, her voice thick with venom "It's all your fault." She gathered her purse and stormed off. At that moment I understood why Lily didn't like her sister very much.

"Lily, you are amazing and do not let your sisters words get to you," I said "She's just jealous."

"Do you want to have kids?" Lily asked. I looked at her and furrowed my eyebrows.

"Yes, someday," I replied.

"Good, me too," she said "And I do not want them anywhere near her!"
