JAMES SHOWED ME A PHOTOGRAPH OF A FAIRLY LARGE HOUSE WITH TWO STORIES WHILE I WAS PACKING MY TRUNK. It wasn't of his childhood home. We went there after the disaster of dinner with Petunia and Vernon.

"What do you think of this?" he asked, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. I dropped the clothes in my hands and took the photograph from him.

"It's really nice," I said "Who's house it is?"

"Mine," he replied "Well, our actually." I turned around and eyed him curiously.

"What are you on about?" I asked.

"After we graduate, I want you to move in with me, after we graduate tomorrow," he said "I bought this place just for us."

"You better not be joking," I warned.

"I'm not," he said "I want to live with you."

"Then I accept," I said, trying very hard to contain my excitement." Two Hogwarts barn owls flew into the room and dropped off two letters by our feet.

"Since when do owls give post at night?" James asked. It wasn't that late but it was late for students to be out of bed and definitely late for owls. James handed me my letter and I opened it. It was an invitation for a meeting twenty minutes from now in the Great hall. James looked at mine and we came to the conclusion that we both got the same invitation

"Meeting in the Great Hall in twenty minutes? What for?" I asked.

"One way to fine out," James said, extending his hand. I took it and we headed to the Great Hall. There were a few students already gathered there. We spotted Sirius and Marlene sitting at the Gryffindor table, snogging.

"Now I know how Dorcas feels around me and James," I said, approaching them. Marlene broke the kiss and blushed profusely. Sirius had a goofy grin sprawled across his face which disappeared only when James punched Sirius in the arm.

"Ow! What the bloody hell was that mate!" Sirius said, wincing in pain "I think I'm going to have a bruise in the morning."

"That was for snogging Marlene right in front of me," James said, making a sort of disgusted face with his tongue sticking out. "And stop over reacting! I didn't even punch you that hard." Remus, Peter and Dorcas came in soon after. Peter looked around and whispered something to James.

"You're right," James said softly, looking around. The door of the Great Hall slammed shut and Professor McGonagall stood guarding it. Headmaster Dumbledore took his place at his podium and started to speak.

"I would firstly like to apologize for disturbing you at this hour but I'm afraid that this is urgent," he said "As you know there is a certain dark wizard whom I don't need to name, is going around and killing muggle-borns and their parents. Fifty- eight muggle borns and their parents have already been found dead. Some of them have been relocated." There was a soft murmur around. I had already found out about this but no one made it public yet. The fact that Dumbledore revealed it suggested that the threat of Voldemort was increasing. "If you want to know about this further, I suggest you ask the Head Boy or Head Girl or Mr. Candwall," he continued. James and I looked at each other. How did he know that we knew? Dumbledore stepped down and Mr. Candwall stood.

"Good evening students," he said "What I say now in this room must not be repeated to anyone, whether they are in this room of not." The whole room fell silent. "The ministry has decided that the Public must be known about a certain individual that goes by the name Lord Voldemort. Professor Dumbledore has selected some students for a secret organization called the Order of Phoenix. The ministry is not aware of this and my involvement in this organization is not as a representative of the ministry. I have been collecting information about said students and I have intensive files about them. You are said students and congratulations, you are now a part of the Order of Phoenix." The whole hall erupted into a sort of quiet applause. Dumbledore spoke again.

"Tomorrow you all will not graduate. Instead you will stay here, in the dorms of your respective houses," Dumbledore said, grimly "The headquarters is the Room of requirements. After tomorrow, Hogwarts school of witchcraft and Wizardry will be closed. We are at war."

No one said a word while we left. James and I headed to the Head's dorm to gather our belongings and move into the Gryffindor dorms.

"It's so strange to think that just six months ago Marlene, Dorcas and I were discussing about who you'd end up with," I said "And now we are at war."

"Come on Lily," James said, trying to lighten the mood "You know I'd always end up with you."

"Yeah well, other than me," I said "It was quite hard since every girl in Gryffindor house in our year had a crush on you at some point of time."

"Not every girl," James said "Dorcas never fancied me."

"She did," I said.

"She did?" James asked and I nodded "Well that's very flattering." I laughed and then I looked at him with a soft expression on my face.

"Marry me," I whispered.

"What?" James asked "I didn't quite catch that."

"Marry me," I said "I love you James. I really do and I want to live with you and have children grow old with you."

"Lily," he started to say.

"And I don't know what's going to happen," I said "And I want to be your wife before I die which could be at any point."

"Stop it Lily," James said "You can't ask something like that to me."

"But you never know and even if we are not dying and not at war, I still want to marry you, sometime soon," I said "You're my soulmate and you are the only one for me. Always have been and always will be."

"No, I meant you can't ask something like that to me because I was going to ask you," James said "I even had a ring and everything."
