Kylies POV
I'm at the air port to pick up Syd. I'm so excited, I haven't seen her since I moved. I pull up to the pick up and look out the window to see if I can find her. No sign of her.
To Syd the sloth:
Yo gurl! Where da heck r ya?!?!?!?!
As soon as I hit send I look up and see her. "Syd!" I scream as I jump out of the car.
"Kylie!" She yells droping her bags to hug me. I run and rap my arms around her, nearly knocking her over. "I've missed you so much!"
"I've missed you, too!" I say. "Here let me help you with that." I say taking one of her bags. "How have you been?"
"Really good...... I guess." She says as she puts a bag in the trunk.
"What do you mean 'I guess'?" I ask getting into the driver seat.
"Derek and I broke up." She says closing her door.
"Oh, I'm so sorry."
"It's alright. I'm kinda glad its over with. Anyway, what's been going on with you?"
"Well..." I say and show her the ring.
"No way!" She screams. "To who?"
"Haven't I told you about Josh?"
"No."
"Ok, I have a lot of explaining to do when we get home." After a bit of driving, we get to my house and I help Syd bring her bags inside. "You'll be sleeping in here." I say walking into the guest bedroom. "So you can get unpacked first, or we can go out and do something then you unpack later."
"Let's go out and do something! I want to have as much fun as I can on this trip!" She says.
"Ok, you wanna go get some fro-yo? Then we can really catch up on what's been going on!" I say walking out of the room. "Sarah!" I yell. "Sarah, Sydney's here!" No answer. "Ok, she might be out with TJ."
"I can't wait to meet everyone!" She says. We get into my car, and drive to the nearest ice cream shop. We go inside and order our ice cream then sit at a booth. "Ok so tell me about this Josh guy."
"Ok, well we met..." I start and tell everything and end with what happend yesterday. "The only problem is I haven't told a missionary that I was waiting for."
"What do you mean." She asks then I start to tell her about Patch, and how I was waiting for him.
"I didn't want to send him a Dear John because I knew that all that would do is break his heart and distract him from his mission. But he's coming home next week."
"Wow. That's hard. What are you going to do?"
"I don't know."
"Does Josh know?"
"Yeah, I told him about it. He's going with me to the air port. Were going to pick him up a week earlier than what his family are expecting. Josh knows that Patch might want to kiss me or something, then again, he might feel uncomfortable doing that."
"Well I hope it all works out."
"Me too."
"Can I see a picture of him?"
"Patch or Josh."
"Pat- both."
"Alright, hold on." I say as I pull out my phone. I go to my photos and find my favorite picture of Josh and show it to her.
"Ok." She says. I pull my phone back then try to find a picture of Patch. It took me a while but I finally found one. "Holy crap!" She yells and takes my phone. "He's perfact! How the heck did you choose Josh over him?"
"You know its not all about the looks."
"Yeah I know." She says. "Well I call dibs on him sense you're taking Josh!"
"Alright." I laugh. "But it might take him a while to get over me."
