Kylie's POV
*the day Patch comes home*
"Syd, we're about to go to the air port, do you wanna come with us?" I yell as I see Josh driving up. I don't hear a respond so I go to find her. "Sarah will you go let Josh know I'll be out there in a minute, then just go ahead and wait for us in the car." She nods and grab her bag, then walks out the door. "Syd?" I say walking into her room. She's dancing around with ear buds in her ears. "Syd!" I say louder, but she still doesn't hear me. I walk up behind her, pinch her sides and scream, "Sydney!"
"Ahhhhhhhh!" She screams as loud as she can. She pulls the ear buds out of her ears and turns around to see what's going on. I'm on the floor laughing my head off. "Ha. Ha. Very funny."
"Do you want to-" I'm cut off by myself laughing.
"Do I, what?"
"Come with us to the- *more laughter*"
"Stop laughing and tell me!" She says trying not to laugh.
"Airport?"
"Sure. When are you leaving?"
"Right now."
"Ok, let me get my shoes then I'll be ready to go."
"Ok I'll be in Josh's car. Just come out when you're done." I say as I walk out of the room. I get to Josh's car and I see him jump out.
"Oh, no you don't." He says then walks around to my side of the car to open the door for me. "Here you go."
"Why, thank you." I laugh then give him a peck on the lips. Josh closes my door, then walks around to the driver side. "Sydney should be out any minut." I say when he closes his door. I turn my head to look out the window and see Syd walking to the car. "Ok, we need to pick up TJ, Kadlynn, and Tanner."
"Alright." We pick them up and now we're on our way to the airport. I'm shaking so badly, I'm so scared on how he's going to react. "You ok?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah I'm just nervous about telling him." I say as he grabs my hand. I didn't realize how cold they were till now.
"I have an idea that might be easier for you. How bout you two go out on a date, then you can tell him then. Also so when he goes home to his family today that won't be on his mind."
"You'd let me do that?"
"If its easier for you, then yes."
"I don't know if it will be, but I'll give it a try." Pretty soon we get to the airport and find a good parking spot. We walk inside with a huge sign we all made that says "WELCOME HOME ELDER CROWE". We go to where he to told us to wait and just sit there. About ten minutes go by, and still no sight of him.
"Did you get the dates wrong?" Sarah asks. I pull out my phone to check the email he sent me.
"Nope, it's today." I say then look around. "Where could he b-" I get cut off by someone picking me up from behind. "Ahhhh!" I scream. "Put me down!" I get put down, then I turn around to see Patch. "Patch!" I throw my arms around him and he picks me up in a hug.
"I've missed you so much!" He wispers in my ear.
"I missed you, too." I say then he let's go of me. Tanner, and TJ run up and give him a hug, then Sarah and Kadlynn. "Patch, this is Josh and Sydney."
"Or you can call me Syd." She laughs as she shakes his hand. "I'm a friend of Kylies from Idaho." She smiles.
"Its really nice to meet you." He smiles.
"Like she said, I'm Josh or you can call me Josh." He jokes. "I'm a really good friend of TJ, Sarah, and Kylies." He says covering up for me.
"It's nice to meet you, too." He laughs. "I think I've heard about you a little bit from them." Ok Patch seems to like him, which is a good thing, right?
"Well should we get you home?" I ask.
"Yeah! I can't wait to see everybody!" He says picking up his bags.
"Here Josh and I will get those for you." I say taking a bag.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!" I laugh. "Tanner will lead us to the car." Josh takes his other bag, then everyone starts walking ahead of us. "Do you think I should sit in the back with him?" I ask Josh.
"That might be a good idea." He answers.
"I would totally kiss you right now but I don't want Patch to see." I smile. He laughs then winks at me. We get to the mini van and load every thing up in the back. After several stories we get to Patch's house. We all walk up to the door with Patch hiding behind us. I ring the door bell, then his mom answers the door. "Hey, we wanted to give your family a gift, before Patch gets home."
"Oh, alright! Come on in!" She says holding the door open for us.
"Well its really big and we couldn't rap it, so we were wondering if you could gather the family and have them go into the living room and close their eyes. We'll bring it inside after that!"
"Is that the same for me?" She asks laughing.
"Yes." I smile.
"Well, alright. I'll let you know when were ready."
"Awesome!" I say. After a few minutes she yells for us to come in. We hurry inside, but where Patch is still hiden. "On 3 I want you to open your eyes, ok? 1... 2... 3!"
"PATCH!" Everybody yells. They jump up and run to him to give him a hug. Patch's mother starts crying, and everyone is just so happy to see him.
"We'll let you guys catch up." I say as we leave.
