TJs POV
*before the date*
"Mal, Mal, Mal-"
"What?"
"Can you help me?"
"With what?"
"This might sound stupid, but I don't know what to wear."
"Come on." Mallory grabs my arm, and pulls me into my room. She pulls out some clothes and lays them out on my bed, then starts this mix-n-match thing. After a while she finaly picks something. "This should work, and don't worry, you'll be fine."
"Thanks Mal!" I say and give her a hug. "You're the best twin ever!"
*later*
I get a text from Zac saying that he's already at Sarahs house. I walk out my front door, and start walking to her house. I see Patch, and Kylie walking out, so I go and talk to them.
"Hey guys." I say.
"Hey, you should probably go get Sarah." Patch says
"Yeah, I'm about to get her, but I was wondering if Sarah, and I could have the back seat?"
"Sure."
"Ok I'll be back in a minute." I walk up to the door, and ring the door bell. I'm so scared, what am I gonna say to her? I see the door start to open, and there stands her father! I have never been so scared to see him in my life! He welcomes me in, and talks to me for a few minutes, then I see Sarah being shoved out of her room by Dani. I laugh just a little bit to myself, but then I see how beautiful she is. I guess I was staring, 'cause the next thing I know I have fingers snaping in my face. "Sorry, you ready?" I smile. She nods her head, then I open the door for her, and we walk outside. "You look beautiful!" I say to her. She smiles looking down at her feet, and I can se her blushing. I open the car door, and Patch climbs out. Zac is in the driver seat with Kadlynn next to him. Kylie, and Patch are in the middle, so Sarah and I have the back row all to our selves, just like Patch said we could. Sarah climbs in and sit by a window, and I see her shaking. "Are you ok?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm just nervous." She says looking down at her hands.
"Why?" I scoot in closer.
"I really don't know."
"Come here." I pull her into a hug, and just hold her for a few minutes. I let go, but leave an arm around her. She lays her head down on my shoulder, and slowly stops shaking.
*at the park*
We pull up to the park and its dark outside. I go around the back with the guys to get the food, and and girls go find a table. After we eat Zac, and Kadlynn leave to go for a walk, then Patch, and Kylie go to the swings. As Patch starts to walk away he gives me a reassuring look, then nods his head towards Sarah.
"You wanna go for a walk?" I ask, and she nods her head. I grab her hand, and start walking down the side walk. "So how have you liked tonight?"
"I've enjoyed it. Its been fun!"
"You haven't said much tonight."
"Yeah, after you kissed me its been hard to talk to you, I guess."
"I'm sorry for doing that."
"Its ok, but what you said wasn't true. The reason why I left your house wasn't 'cause I needed to think about the brake up. That's not what's been on my mind the past few days."
"What's wrong?"
"Can I ask you something first?" I'm starting to get nervous.
"Sure."
"Why do you like me?" Oh, boy. How do I answer this?
"I don't really know. One thing I look for in a girl is someone who can be my best friend. I remember 5 years ago is when you, Kylie, Mal, and I told each other that we were best friends and how we promised to not let anyone get inbetween us, and stuff like that. The the morning before we did that, a girl had come up to me at school, and told me that I was worthless, and didn't have a place in this world. After we made that promise you told me that I was the best and coolest person you have ever met. That's when I started to like you. I didn't want people to know that I liked you, so I started hanging out with Kylie more. I'm sorry for kissin-" she grabs me by my jacket and pulls me towards her, and the next thing I know, she's kissing me. I'm a little shocked, but then I kiss her back, and rap my arms around her waist. She moves one hand to my neck, and the other to my hair. After a few seconds she pulls away.
"Sorry, I had to." I notice she used the same words I did when I first kissed her.
"I'm not." I say, then kisse her again. I feel sparks. Huge ones! I feel like there's nothing around us. Its just her and I. I pull her closer, and no words can describe the feeling I'm having right now. I pull away, and we just hug. I don't want this moment to end. Mu head is resting on hers, and I close my eyes. "I'm glad you broke up with Cody." I wispers.
"I am, too." She says looking back at me. "The reason why I left your house is 'cause that's when I started having feelings for you, but I didn't know that that was what it was. I was confused, and wanted to find out if I liked you, or not. That's why I didn't reply to your texts, and tryed avoiding you, and I'm sorry. This date really helped, though. Thank you!"
"You're more than welcome!" I say then pecks her lips. "We should probably head back." She nods her head, and I let go of her, then I see her shiver. "Here." I say puting my jacket around her. She grabs my hand, and I can't help but smile as we walk back in silence. We meet everyone back at the table we ate at, then leave. We're all sitting in the same spot we were sitting in on the way here. I grab Sarahs hand, and she lays her head on my sholder. I notice how perfectly her hand fits in mine, and how sweet she smells. This has got to be the best night of my life.
Before I know it, we're back at Sarahs house. Patch walks Kylie to the door, and once Patch is walking back to the van Sarah and I get out. "Thanks for the ride, man." I say to Zac as I shut the door. I grab Sarahs hand and walk her to the door as Zac drives off.
"I don't want this night to end." She says once.
"Me too." I pull her into a hug.
"To night was perfect!"
"You wanna do it again next weekend?" I put my forhead on hers.
"Yes! The same thing?"
"If that's what you want."
"It is." She says, then we hug and kiss good night. I walk back to my house, and unlock the door. There's a note inside on the table from my mom saying that they went out for dinner, so I go strate to bed, but I have a hard time falling asleep. Thoughts from tonight just run through my head. After a while I fall asleep.
