Chapter 8 - New York

I fly up towards a portal in the sky as Thor confronts Loki.
I look beside me to see Tony, "Hey, Angel." He chuckles as he spins and blasts at the Chitauri. I fly up next to him and black the Chitauri with him, I spin back and forth to avoid being hit and stop mid-air below the portal. I hold my hands up, my power covers the opening of the portal, causing the Chitauri trying to come out to be destroyed. "Nice job, Y/N!"

After ten minutes, I growl as I try to hold it, "I can't hold it much longer!" I scream out as my power causes a huge explosion, the large use of my power causes me to fall down below and crash into a car.

"Y/N!" I look up as Steve runs to me and helps me up. "Are you okay? What just happened?" He looks me over for wounds.

"I'm...I'm fine. Sometimes it's hard to use my entire power at once...tires me out." I nod, grabbing his arm to steady myself.
I close my eyes and focus on my power, growing stronger.

"Y/N that was great....but we have a problem now. They're coming back." Tony says

"I can't keep doing that." I look at Steve.

I look up as Thor lands down next to us, "What's the story upstairs?" Steve asks.

"The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable." Thor nods. I look down to see a stab wound on him.

"Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys." Tony says.

"How do we do this?" The woman I learned was Natasha asks.

"As a team." Steve nods.

Thor looks up, "I have unfinished business with Loki."

"Yeah, get in line." A guy named Clint says.

"Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us..." Steve stops and turns as we hear a motorbike approaching.

Bruce gets off and walks over to us, "So, this all seems horrible."

"I've seen worse." Natasha nods.

"Sorry."

"No. We could use a little worse."

"Stark? We got him." Steve smiles.

"Banner?"

"Just like you said." Steve nods.

"Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you."

We all look up as Tony swoops from behind a building with a large Chitauri Leviathan following form behind. "I... I don't see how that's a party..." Natasha says in shock.

"Dr. Banner. Now might be a really good time for you to get angry." Steve nods.

"That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry." Bruce turns, his body starts to stretch and turn green, soon turning into the Hulk. He grabs onto the Leviathan and punches it down, flipping it as Tony shoots a missile.

We all duck down to avoid the blast, Hulk and Tony land next to us. We all stand together, ready to fight anything else that comes our way.

Natasha looks up, "Guys." We look to see hundreds more coming out of the portal.

"Call it, Cap."

"Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or your turn it to ash." Steve points.
