Chapter 36 - Devil's Anus

Thor and I stand guard as Loki messes with a control panel in the palace. "Hey, so listen, we should talk." Thor says.

"I disagree. Open communication was never our family's forte."

I smile as he says "our" family.

"I agree." I nod.

"You have no idea. I've had quite the revelation since we spoke last." Thor nods, looking at me. The door finally opens revealing a bunch of guards. They both pick up two blasters. "Hello!"

"Hi!" I smile.

As they use their guns, I blast the guards with my power. They throw down the guns once we were done and move over to the elevator.

"Odin brought us three together, it's almost poetic that his death should split us apart. We might as well be strangers now. 'Two sons and daughter of the crown' set adrift." Loki says.

As the door opens, a guard tries to grab Loki. I knock him out as we step inside. "Thought you didn't want to talk about it?" Thor asks.

"Here's the thing. I'm probably better off staying here on Sakaar." Loki suddenly says as we start going up.

"That's exactly what I was thinking."

"Did you just agree with me?" Loki asks Thor.

"This place is perfect for you. It's savage, chaotic, lawless. Brother, you're going to do GREAT here."

"Do you truly think so little of me?" Loki asks.

"Loki, I thought the world of you. I thought we were gonna fight side by side forever. But, at the end of the day, you're you, I'm me...I don't know, maybe there's still good in you, but let's be honest, our paths diverged a long time ago."

Loki nods, looking away. "It's probably for the best that we never see one another again."

Thor pats Loki affectionately on the shoulder. "That's what you always wanted."

"Don't I get a say in this?" I ask.

"Of course." Loki nods.

"I don't want you to stay here...I want you to come with me." I say.

"You think earth and your precious Captain would allow that?" Loki frowns.

"I really don't care what anyone thinks. Your my brother...I want to stay by your side. I want us to be a family again. I miss you." I grab his hand. Loki looks down and smiles.

"Hey, let's do Get Help." Thor suddenly says.

"What?"

"Get Help." Thor nods.

"Yes!" I laugh.

"No."

"Come on, you love it." I smile.

"I hate it."

"It's great. It works every time." Thor nods.

"It's humiliating."

"Do you have a better plan?" Thor asks.

"No."

"We're doing it." I smile.

Loki shakes his head, "We are not doing Get Help."

Thor and I grab Loki's sides as the door opens, he puts his head back and pretends to be injured as we approach a group of guards. "Get help! Please! My brother, he's dying!" I yell.

"Get help! Help him!" Thor and I pick Loki up and hurl him at the guards, knocking them down.

"Classic." I smile, high fiving Thor.

"I still hate it. It's humiliating."

"Not for us, it's not." Thor nods. "Which one's the ship she told us to get?"

"The Commodore." He points over to the ship, I walk between them. "Though I feel it won't make much of a difference..."

I stop and shake my head. "Oh, Loki."

We turn to see the real Loki over by a control panel, "I know I've betrayed you many times before, but this time it's truly nothing personal. The reward for your capture will set Y/N and I up nicely." He triggers the alarm.

"Never one for sentiment, were you?" Thor asks.

"Easier to let it burn."

"I agree." Thor holds up the device and zaps Loki, he had sneakily attacked it to Loki's neck in the elevator. Thor and I kneel down to Loki, "Oh brother, you're becoming predictable. I trust you, you
betray me. Round and round in circles we go."

I reach down and push his hair out of his face, "See, Loki, life is about, it's about growth. It's about change. But you seem to just wanna stay the same. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you'll always be the God of Mischief, but you could be more. You could be so much happier by our sides." I rub his head.

"I'll just put this over here for you." Thor places the device on top of the security panel, so close but so far from Loki's paralyzed reach. "Anyway, we have places to be so good luck."

I smile down to Loki, "I must go...I'm sorry." I quickly stand and run over to the ship. "Let me fly. I know what I'm doing."

"No." Thor sits down. "I can figure this out. It's just another spaceship."

"You should just let me fly." I roll my eyes, sitting down next to him. "That button." I point.

"I knew that." He rolls his eyes, starting up the ship and taking off. Other ships immediately start following and firing at us.

I look down as we hear Val's voice on the radio, "Open the doors."

I lean forward and press a button, I turn as Bruce suddenly flies into the ship. "Bruce!" I smile as he runs over to us.

"Shouldn't we be shooting back or something?"

"Yes, we should." Thor turns back to the radio. "Where are the guns on this ship?"

"There aren't any. It's a leisure vessel."

"WHAT?!" The three of us yell.

"Grandmaster uses it for his good times, orgies and stuff."

The three of us look around, our faces scrunching in disgust. "Did she just say the Grandmaster uses it for orgies?" I ask.

"Yeah. Don't touch anything." Thor snacked my hand off the dash of the ship.

Suddenly Val's ship is hit, she fires back until her ship suddenly crashes. "No!" Thor yells.

"Oh my god..." I gasp. We all look up as Val suddenly smacks into the windshield. "Get inside!" I yell.

"In a minute!" Val pulls herself up and then runs across the roof.

We could see her leaping onto another ship and tearing up its engine. "We should probably go and help." I nod.

"Yeah." Thor stands, pushing Bruce over to the controls. "Here, take the wheel."

"No. I don't know how to fly one of these."

"You're a scientist. Use one of your PhDs." Thor says as I take out my sword.

"None of them are for flying alien spaceships!" Bruce yells as Thor and I leap out.

I fly over to a large ship, stabbing my sword into its roof and dragging it across to the engine. I hurl my sword into the engine of the ship behind the one I'm on, leaping off as it explodes and flying to the next ship. I grab my sword and fly up, using my power to swerve the last ship down to crash.

I fly back into our ship with Thor and Val, sitting with Bruce behind the two. "Guys, we're coming up on the Devil's Anus!" She looks back at us. "Here we go!" She yells as we go into the wormhole. The ship's onboard computer shorts out, causing darkness all around us.

I fully pass out as the ship goes faster and faster.
