Chapter 12 - Pain

The three of us hurry down the hall to see Jane and Sif. Jane points at Loki in shock, "You're..."

"I'm Loki. You may have heard of..." Suddenly Jane slaps Loki hard in the face

"That was for New York."

Loki smiles and looks at Thor, "I like her."

I laugh and high-five Jane, "I love you." Jane laughs with me.

We turn to see the guards approaching, "There they are! Take them. On my command."

"I'll hold them off. Take her." Sif nods.

"Thank you." I quickly hug Sif and Run with Thor and Jane.

We run up to the dark elves ship that crashed into the palace. "I will give you as much time as I can." Volstagg nods.

"Thank you, my friend." Thor and Volstagg shake hands.

I hug him and kiss his cheek, "Thank you. For everything."

He blushes and turns as I run into the ship.

Thor looks at the controls and starts pressing some buttons, looking unsure of what he's doing. "I thought you said you knew how to fly this thing." Loki says.

"I said, how hard could it be?"

"Well, whatever you're doing, brother, I suggest you do it faster." Loki nods as we notice many guards gathering.

"Shut up, Loki." Thor continues to frantically press every button to start the ship.

"You must have missed something." I nod.

"No, I didn't, I'm pressing every button on this thing."

"No, don't hit it, just press it gently." Loki points.

"I am pressing it gently. It's not working!" Suddenly the ship comes to life, Thor laughs.

The ship rises and hits a couple columns. "I think you missed a column." I point.

"Shut up!"

Finally the ship breaks through the palace walls and takes off, "Look, why don't you let me take over, I'm clearly the better pilot." Loki suggests.

"Is that right? Well, out of the three of us which one can actually fly?" Thor asks.

"Um, that's me. You need a hammer to fly." I point. "I can fly on my own."

Thor rolls his eyes and continues to fly, we look back as Jane collapses, "Oh, dear. Is she dead?" Loki asks.

I kneel down, "Jane."

Jane raises her head, looking weak, "I'm okay."

I stand back up and hold on as Thor hits part of a building, "Not a word." He points at us.

Suddenly several smaller Asgardian ships start following us, "Now they're following us." Then the smaller ships start firing at us, "Now they're firing at us!" Loki yells.

"Yeah, thank you for the commentary, Loki! It's not at all distracting!" Thor growls.

Our ship then hits a massive stone monument of King Bor, breaking the head off. "Well done, you just decapitated your grandfather." Loki chuckles, he steps back. "You know this is wonderful. This is a tremendous idea. Let's steal the biggest, most obvious ship in the universe and escape in that. Flying around the city, smashing into everything in sight so everyone can see us. It's brilliant, Guys! It's truly brilliant!" I walk up to him and push him off the ship as Thor grabs Jane. I roll my eyes and drop down below onto the smaller ship with Fandral.
