We walk into the hospital and stand in front of the vending machine. "I put it there...it's empty." Steve says in shock.

We look up to see Natasha's reflection....chewing bubblegum. Steve turns and suddenly pushes her into the room across from us. I slowly walk in and shut the door. "I'm....I'm gonna lay down." I climb onto the hospital bed. I clutch my stomach as I curl up on my side, watching the two.

"Where is it?" Steve asks angrily.

"Safe."

"Do better!" Steve whispers.

"Where did you get it?"

His eyes narrow, "Why would we tell you?"

"Fury gave it to you. Why?"

"What's on it?" He asks.

"I don't know."

"Stop lying!" Steve raises his voice.

"I only act like I know everything, Rogers."

"She's not lying." I speak up, causing her to smile.

"I bet you knew Fury hired the pirates, didn't you?"

She shrugs, "Well, it makes sense. The ship was dirty, Fury needed a way in, so do you."

"I'm not gonna ask you again."

"I know who killed Fury. Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists, the ones who do call him the Winter Soldier. He's credited with over two dozen assassinations in the last fifty years."

"So he's a ghost story." Steve nods.

"Five years ago I was escorting a nuclear engineer out of Iran, somebody shot out my tires near Odessa. We lost control, went straight over a cliff, I pulled us out, but the Winter Soldier was there. I was covering my engineer, so he shot him straight through me." She pulls up her shirt to show us the scar on the side of her stomach. "Soviet slug, no rifling. Bye-bye bikinis."

"Yeah, I bet you look terrible in them now." I smile weakly.

Natasha smiles over at me again, "Going after him is a dead end. I know, I've tried." Natasha then holds up the flash drive. "Like you said, he's a ghost story."

Steve takes the flash drive from her and helps me up, "Well, let's find out what the ghost wants."

Steve holds onto me as we stand in a computer store, Natasha stands at a computer and starts to type. "What happened to you,
Y/N?" She asks.

"The Strike guys put some collar around my throat. Stopped my powers and made me throw up blood. I'm still not feeling good." I look around us.

She stops typing and looks at me, "That collar is not supposed to be used." She shakes her head. "I'm so sorry."

"Will my power come back?"

"It takes a few hours. You'll be okay." She starts typing again.
"The drive has a Level Six homing program, so as soon as we boot up Shield will know exactly where we are."

"How much time do we have?" Steve asks.

"Uh...about nine minutes from..." She pops the flash drive into the computer, "Now." She types and frowns, "Fury was right about that ship, somebody's trying to hide something. This drive is protected by some sort of AI, it keeps rewriting itself to counter my commands."

"Can you override it?"

"The person who developed this is slightly smarter than me. Slightly." She smirks. "I'm gonna try running a tracer. This is a program that Shield developed to track hostile malware, so if we can't read the file, maybe we can find out where it came from."

I look up as an employee walks up, "Can I help you guys with anything?"

"Oh, no. My sister was just helping us with some honeymoon destinations." I instantly smile.

"Right! We're getting married." Steve agrees.

"Congratulations. Where are you guys thinking about going?"

Steve looks at the monitor, "New Jersey."

"Oh." The employee looks at Steve for a moment. "I have the exact same glasses."

"Wow, you two are practically twins." Natasha says sarcastically.

"Yeah, I wish. Specimen. Uh...if you guys need anything, I've been Aaron." He smiles and backs away.

"Thank you." Steve nods.

"That was good Y/N."

"Been watching some spy shows on Steve's TV." I nod.

Steve turns, "You said nine minutes, come on."

"Shh, relax. Got it." We look to find the signal is coming from Wheaton, NJ. "You know it?" Natasha asks.

"I used to. Let's go." Steve pulls the flash drive from the computer and keeps his arm around me as we walk out. "Standard tac-team. Two behind, to across, two coming straight at us. If they make us, I'll engage, you and Y/N hit the south escalator to the metro."

"Laugh at something I said, both of you!" I instantly say.

"What?" Steve asks.

"Do it!" Natasha agrees, we all start to laugh as we pass the agents.

We get on the escalator, Nat in front of me and Steve behind me with his hands on my shoulders to keep me up. I look down to see the Rumlow guy. I turn, "Kiss me."

Steve's eyes widen. "What?"

"I once read that public displays of affection make people very uncomfortable." I nod.

"Yes, they do."

I roll my eyes and pull him down, pressing my lips on his as we pass Rumlow. He slightly smiles as I pull away. "You still uncomfortable?"

"It's not exactly the word I would use." He smirks.
