Mother had a beautiful ceremony.

But it made it harder....my Mother and best friend had died...in my arms.

I could of done something to save her...stayed with her. Gotten there quicker.

I could of done more.

I sit down next to Father on his throne, on the arm of the seat, he scoots over and opens his arms for me as he sees the tears falling down my face. I sit right beside him in his arms.

His hand lightly strokes the side of my face, "You look just like her." He whispers. "Your Mother and I were so happy when you were born...we always wanted a baby girl. I was especially happy when I found out you looked just like her. You acted like her...you both were everything to me. My girls." Father looks aside.

I curl into his side and lay my head on his chest, closing my eyes as to see her image again. "She was everything to me too." I mumble.

"She's your prisoner now?" Thor walks in angrily.

Father stands, I stay seated on the throne. "I do not wish to fight with you."

"Nor I with you, but I intend to pursue Malekith." Thor nods.

"We posses the Aether, Malekith will come to us."

"Yes, and you will destroy us." Thor says.

"You overestimate the power of these creatures."

"No, I value our peoples lives. I'll take Jane to the Dark World and draw the enemy away from Asgard. When Malekith pulls the Aether from Jane it will be exposed vulnerable, and I will destroy it and him." Thor nods.

"If you fail, you risk this weapon falling into the hands of our enemies."

"The risk is far greater if we do nothing. His ship could be over our heads right now and we'd never even know it." Thor points outside.

"If and when he comes, his men will fall by ten thousand Asgardian blades."

"And how of our men shall fall on theirs?" Thor asks angrily.

"As many as are needed! We will fight! Until the last Asgardian breath, the last drop of Asgardian blood." Father screams, making me jump.

"And how are you different from Malekith?"

Father chuckles, "The difference, my son, is that I will win." He walks off.

Thor walks up to me as I stare ahead blankly, he grabs the sides of my face to make me look at him. "Please help me."

"I will....I will kill Malekith. I will rip him apart....I will make him feel what I feel." I stand, starting to walk away. "Do what you must...come get me when a plan is established." I nod, heading to my chambers.

I put my armor on and put my photo in its place...my good luck charm. I close my eyes and think of Steve, reaching out to him. "Y/N?" His voice was loud and clear.

"I...I can't hold it for long. I just need to hear your voice." I whisper.

"What's going on? I've felt pain and sadness from you."

"My mother....she..." I turn as there's a knock on my door. "I love you."

"Y/N?" Thor asks from behind my door. I quickly walk out and throw my cloak on. "We have to get Loki."

"The secret passageways, right." I nod, frowning because I couldn't talk to Steve.

We walk down to see him standing in his cell. "Thor, after all this time and now you come to visit me. Why? Have you come to gloat? To mock?"

"Loki, enough. No more illusions." I nod, he stares at me for a moment and his illusion disappears. We now see that Loki's cell is a mess, everything has been thrown around and he's sat on the floor, looking unkempt and messy, in the other corner of the cell.

"Now you see me." Thor and I walk up to the other side of the cell, closer to Loki. "Did she suffer?"

"We did not come here to share our grief. Instead we offer you the chance of a far richer sacrament." Thor nods.

"Go on."

"I know you seek vengeance as much as we do. You help us escape Asgard and we will grant it to you, vengeance. And afterward, this cell." I point.

Loki chuckles, "You must be truly desperate to come to me for help. What makes you think you can trust me?"

"We don't. Mother did. You should know that when we fought each other in the past, I did so with a glimmer of hope that my brother was still in there somewhere. That hope no longer exists to protect you. You betray me and I will kill you." Thor nods.

Loki smiles, "Hmm. When do we start?"

"Hurry up." I call back as we wait for him, he hurries out and rushes up the stairs with us.

"This is so unlike you both. So clandestine. Are you sure you wouldn't rather just punch your way out?" Loki asks.

"If you keep speaking I just might." I roll my eyes.

"Fine. As you wish. I'm not even here." Using his diversion tactics, Loki turns himself into an Asgardian guard. "Is this better?"

"It's better company at least." Thor shrugs.

"Still, we could be less conspicuous." Loki turns back into himself but turns Thor into Sif. I look down to see that I am Fandral. "Hm, brother. You look ravishing."

Thor looks down at his body then replies in his own voice, "It will hurt no less when I kill you in this form."

"Change me back now." I warn.

"Very well. Perhaps you prefer one of your new companions, given that you seem to like them so much." Loki then turns himself into Steve in his full Captain America uniform. "Oh, this is much better. Woh. The costume's a bit much, so tight. But the confidence, I can feel the righteousness surging. Hey, you wanna have a rousing discussion about truth, honor, patriotism? God bless Amer–" I grab onto Loki and cover his mouth, pushing him against the pillar to hide as he changes back. He pushes my hand off, "What?" I point beside us to see guards walking by. Loki sighs, "You could at least furnish me with a weapon. My dagger, something!" I look back at Thor and nod. I stare right at Loki as I take cuffs out, making it sound like a dagger. "At last, a little common sense." Loki then looks down then holds up his hands to revel the cuffs.

"And I thought you liked tricks." I smile.
