Labor

July 18th

"I'm not in labor," Lena huffed and grabbed a water from the fridge.

"Lena, you dumbass motherfucker, you're in labor," Sephi said. "Taehyung is going to kill me if I don't go grab him."

"I've been having these pains since last night," Lena said. "It's probably all that chili I ate."

"Yeah, exactly, spicy foods can induce labor," Sephi folded her arms.

"But this has been happening since last night," she argued.

"I was in labor for three days."

"I'm not in-" Lena winced. "Fuck."

"Yeah, yeah, okay," Sephi grabbed her phone and quickly messaged the group chat with everyone in it, calling Taehyung immediately after.

After she hung up, she turned to Lena.

"You," Sephi said as she wrapped an arm around her. "Are awfully stubborn for someone that has been wanting to get this baby out for weeks."

"And you're awfully judgmental."

"Ah, the joys of childbirth," Sephi mumbled as she led Lena out to the car.

"Who the hell designed the human body like this?" Lena asked as she and Taehyung walked around the maternity ward.

"Doesn't matter who," Taehyung hummed. "We get the most precious gift after this."

"Are you feeling any of this pain?"

"A little bit," he shrugged. "Probably about a tenth of what you're feeling."

"Good," Lena said. "Not enough, but good."

"How sweet are you," Taehyung chuckled. "Let's hope this will be over soon."

"I want her out now," she whined as another contraction hit.

"I know, bug," he said as he held her arm. "Do you want to keep walking or go back to the room?"

"Is Ellie still here?"

"Yeah, I think so," Taehyung said. "Do you want me to go get her?"

"Yeah," she said. "Take me back to the room."

"You got it, bug."

"Hey, beautiful eomma," Ellie smiled as she peaked her head in the door. "Taehyung is in the lobby, he said he'll come back in if you want, but otherwise he has Jungkook rubbing his back."

"I don't need him at the moment," Lena said. "Thank you for coming in."

"No problem," she grabbed a seat next to the bed. "What do you need?"

"I need you to tell me how you did this."

"Namjoon," Ellie smiled. "Namjoon and Zara were how I did it. Grab onto your soulmate and get ready for your baby."

Lena cried out as another contraction hit, making Ellie get up and rub Lena's back.

"You've got this, Lena," Ellie said. "I promise you."
