Surrounded

Lena was adjusting to a whole new world.
She had stepped into the heart of more than just her soulmate, but the heart of a boyband and the heart of a wedding.
The future bride and groom were fawning all over each other...love was in the air but somehow Lena was struggling to understand it.

"Hi, Lena," Opal, Jimin's soulmate grabbed a seat next to her. "You excited to be at your first official BTS meeting?"

"Uh...I guess," Lena mumbled. "I don't really know what it involves."

"The boys are so precious," Opal said. "Have you seen anything of BTS before?"

"Not much."

"Ah, well, you're in for a treat," she smiled, the pink coloring on her lips making her smile pop.

Lena noticed that Opal was a very bright person, inside and out. She was the opposite of Lena in so many ways but she liked her already. The two would grow close but Lena couldn't have guessed it now.

"Jiminie, baby," Opal whined and Jimin's focus snapped to his soulmate. "Come tell Lena about Tae's amazing abilities."

Jimin cracked a smile and bounded over to the two.

"Hi, Lena," he smiled. "You can expect amazingness from him. I think it'll help him having you here."

Lena nodded and cracked a small smile.

"Opal always gives me that little extra buzz," Jimin said. "When she isn't here, I feel it."

"Boys, dance, now," the choreographer was ready to go and the group flocked together, Jimin pressing a quick kiss to Opal's forehead.

"I'm gonna marry him soon," Opal smiled and leaned back. "I can't believe it."

"I thought Namjoon and Ellie were the ones getting married?" Lena questioned.

"They are but..." Opal got very hushed and leaned in close. "I found the ring he bought a few days ago."

"You think he'll propose soon?"

"I can sense it."

"How?"

"Our bond," Opal said. "Yours will grow...or maybe it'll grow in different ways, who knows."

As if the fates decided to teach her a lesson, Lena felt her head spin, and suddenly Taehyung was on the floor.

Lena felt a heat rush through her body as she pulled herself to Taehyung, the two in bed after receiving a note from a doctor. Taehyung developed a reaction to a new bond that they hadn't expected. Some soulmates needed consistent touch at the beginning of a bond, some need more, some need less. Taehyung needed more and his body developed a flu-like reaction to the littlest of time apart from Lena. His fever transferred to Lena as they laid in bed, getting Taehyung back into shape.

"Great first week with your soulmate, huh?" Taehyung asked, his words dry and cracked.

"I just didn't know this could happen," Lena said. "My mom always told me about how her first week with my dad was less than perfect, but nothing about sickness."

"Guess my clinginess was a fate thing," he smiled, trying to find humor in the situation. "Kook could never understand why I've always been so clingy."

"I think it's cute," Lena said. "Besides, I like being in your arms."

"You don't have much of a choice right now anyways," he sighed, a pain in his lower back causing him to jut forward into her. "Shit, sorry."

Lena chuckled and just pulled him closer.

"The doctor said plenty of contact would get you better," she said as she got comfortable. "Your body is just ensuring that."

Taehyung nodded and lightly kissed the top of her head, earning a small squeak from her.

"S-sorry, I'm too affectionate, I'm sorry."

"No, no, it's okay," Lena said. "I'm just not used to it. I like it, I promise."

Lena started her day worried about being so close to and surrounded by love, but it turned out that being surrounded by her love was exactly what she needed.
