Next morning I woke up feeling as fresh as a daisy. Chocolate was still asleep. I stretched my arms as I stood up. Diana, Hermione and Ginny were already awake.
"Good Morning girls", I greeted them.
"Morning ", they all said together.
I took a bath, put my uniform on and did my hair. I got my school bag ready and went down stairs to common room.
I found George, Fred and Lee sitting in common room talking to each other with mischievous look on their faces, probably devising some pranks, I mean that's all what they do all the time regardless of start of the term or end of the term.
"Morning everyone. What are you all talking about", I asked standing next to them.
"Morning", they all said.
"Nothing to do with you PREFECT", Lee said playfully. I stuck my tongue out at him and laughed some.
"Let go for breakfast, I'm starving", I said.
We left the common room and went to great hall for breakfast. I sat between Georgie and Freddie, Lee and Diana sat cross from us. I eat my scrambled eggs and drank pump juice. Professor Mcgonagall came over and gave us our timetables.
"Potions first then Care of Magical Creatures", I said.
"Same", George and Fred said in unison.
"Let's go then", I said.
"Seriously, potions first. It definitely can't be a good start of the year", Fred seemed irksome. I laughed at his frustration.
"Yeah you can laughed because you are slimey Snape's only favourite Gryffindor", George said.
I shrugged with a proud smile on my face. Favourite will not be right word but you can say that he doesn't hate me either, because I'm very good in potions.
We entered into classroom, Professor Snape was already present in class. We took our seats.
"Today we will be mixing a potion that often comes up at Ordinary Wizarding Level, The Draught of Peace, a potion to calm anxiety and soothe agitation. Be warned, if you are too heavy-handed with the ingredients you will put the drinker into a heavy and sometimes irreversible sleep, so you will need to pay close attention to what you are doing", Professor Snape described the potion in his deliberate style.
George started imitating his accent making me laugh. I pursed my lips to suppress my laughter.
"Ms Mcxandra, would you like to tell us the ingredients of Draught of peace", he strolled towards our desk.
'Oh crap, he caught me' I thought to myself.
"Yes Professor...", I cleared my throat.
"The ingredients of Draught of peace are powdered moonstone, syrup of hellebore, powdered porcupine quills, and powdered unicorn horn", I let out a sigh of relief.
Professor Snape turned around and walked towards his desk without another word.
I glared at George and he gave me a sheepish grin.
"It should be a turquoise blue when finished and simmered before being consumed", Professor continued.
"Pair up and start brewing the potion", Professor Snape said.
"Come on Anna, be my partner", Fred said.
"Bold of you to think that I would let that happen", George grabbed my hand took me to the Cauldrons table.
We started working on our potion. I collected the ingredients and followed the instructions given in the book. Our potion turned to perfect turquoise blue color.
