Chapter#1 Best Friend

ANNA'S POV

I woke up by the loud beeping of the alarm clock on my night stand. I climed out of the bed and opened the curtains letting the gold sunlight to kiss my body. I started to walk towards bathroom when I noticed the envelope resting at my desk with Hogwarts seal. I ripped the envelope open and unfolded the letter in it. Felicity and pride bubbled in my chest to read the letter. I smiled to myself and went to the bathroom.

The last three years at Hogwarts had been the best years of my life and for which most of the credit goes to my best friends, George and Fred. I had been a straight A student. Mum and Dad had always been proud of me for my high grades. George and Fred got into trouble a thousand times for pulling pranks on students and Mr Filch and served a thousand detentions. But I have to admit that their pranks had always been legendary.

Ten days until my fifth year at Hogwarts starts and I was going to Diagon Alley to buy new books. Mum and Dad agreed to buy me a pet. I had Cotton, my owl. She was pure white in colour with soft feathers. I was planning to buy a cat now, my all time favourite pet.

I got ready and flooed to Leaky Cauldron with Mum and Dad.

As soon as I stepped out of the fireplace, I heard a familiar voice calling my name.
"Anna!",

I turned around to see George grinning ear to ear at me.

"Hey Georgie", I ran into the open arms of my best friend.

Next it was Fred who hugged me with all his strength.

"Let her breath Freddie", George said chuckling and Fred just rolled his eyes at his twin.

"Hi Anna", I heard Ginny greet.

"Hey Ginny. How are you kiddo?", I hugged her.

"Anna I'm not a kid anymore", she said sitting in the chair.

Mrs Weasley gave me a motherly hug.
Oh I love his woman. I also met Hermione, Ron and Harry at Leaky Cauldron. George and Fred told me all about their trip and adventures in Egypt.

"Anna would you like to spend rest of the holidays at the Burrow with us?", George asked with a cheeky grin.

"Yeah I'd love to but have to ask Mum and Dad first", I said beckoning in my parents direction who were busy talking to Mr and Mrs Weasley.

"It's not a big deal. They have let you stay with us before. I'll just ask them", he winked at me and went to my parents. Dad shook hands with him and Mum gave him a hug. Merlin's beard look at his smile while he talked to my parents.

"Don't you think he likes you?", Fred threw his words at me and smirked.

"Not at all", I said with furrowed eyebrows.
"He's just excited about me spending holidays at the Burrow because he is my best friend and so are you", I said.

"Yeah but I'm standing here, with you whereas he's there with your parents pleading with them to let to stay with us", he said and the smirk never left his face. I gave him a confused look.

"Shut up Freddie", I shook my head and rolled my eyes earning a snigge from him.

George came back to us, grinning ear to ear.

"They agreed", he chimed.

"When can I go to the Burrow?", I asked my parents as they came and stood beside me.

"On your birthday. We can cut the cake at home and then you can floo to the burrow", Dad said and draped an arm around my shoulder.

"Brilliant", I said smiling at the boys.

"I want ice cream. Georgie, Freddie let's go to Florean Fortescue's ice cream parlour", I said.

"Oh my god, this girl and her love for ice creams", Mum said chuckling and I pouted.

"Alright, go and have ice cream. We'll go shopping for other stuff later", Dad said.

"Okay. Let's go", I said joyously.

The three of us walked out of Leaky Cauldron and Fred tapped on the brick wall creating a passage way and we entered into Diagon Alley.

As soon as we reached Florean Fortescue's ice cream parlour, I rushed inside and sat on a table. George and Fred followed me and sat in the chairs.

We ordered three ice creams. I ordered double chocolate ice cream Fred butterbeer ice cream and George orange marmalade ice cream.

"Mmm..nothing in the entire world can be better than ice cream", I said taking a spoon-full of my ice cream. Freddie just chuckled at my words.

"Try this flavour", Georgie shove a spoonful of his own ice cream in my mouth.

Freddie gave us a smirk. I shook my head and rolled my eyes at him while George gave him a confused look.

After finishing my ice cream I stood up and walked to the counter and ordered another ice cream. George and Fred came and stood by my side. I took my ice cream and paid the galleons. I ate a spoonful and lost in the rich taste.

"You're truely amazing Mr Fortescue and I love your ice creams", I said dreamily.

He gave gave smile and noded saying "Thank you young lady",

I turned to see my best friends staring at me.
"What", I said taking a mouth full of ice cream. "Do you want more ice cream ?",

They shook their heads no. I just shrugged. We walked to leaky Cauldron and saw our parents talking seriously looking at Daily Prophet .

"Mum dad, I'm back", I said.

Mum and dad stood and said bye to Mr and Mrs Weasley and turned to George and Fred and hugged them both.

"See you in two days," George smiled at me.

"See you," I said, waving at George and Fred.
