Chapter#4 New Feelings

ANNA'S POV:

I left the common room and entered my dorm. I changed into my pyjamas, put Chocolate at the edge of my bed and laid down. I closed my eyes but couldn't stop thinking about what George just said. Maybe he was talking about me or maybe not. But the way his face turned pink while he talked to me was something new. And even if he likes me then what are my feelings. Is he only my best friend or can he be something more, someone special. Everyone keeps talking about this, Mom, Freddie, Ginny, Mione, Lee. I don't know, maybe I should wait for George to tell me if he feels something different for me and not just assume things on my own. Better idea. Yeah.

Next morning I was woken up by Chocolate jumping on me, and Diana screaming in my ear.

"WAKE UP ANNA, Rise and shine sleepy head, WAKE UP, WAKE UP", Diana kept screaming, standing near to my bed.

"Okay okay. I'm awake. Stop yelling now", I said yawning, forcing my eyes to open.

I sat up rubbing my eyes. Chocolate jumped into my lap, and I ran my fingers through her thick brown fur. She purred as I stroke her. I went to bathroom, took shower. I put my uniform on and pulled my hair into high ponytail and went downstairs with the girls.

George, Fred and Lee were not in the common room. They must have already gone to the Great Hall.

We walked out of common room to great hall. The boys were already there as expected. I sat with George on one and Fred on the other side. We all ate our breakfast and left for classes.

We had double charms first. We revised fire making spell, Incendio,
Levitating spell, Wingardium Leviosa and mending spell, Reparo. We studied Pixies in Defence Against The Dark Arts and after lunch we learned about Chinese Chomping Cabbage in Herbology.

"Chinese Chomping Cabbage is a magical plant that is presumably native to China. As the name suggests, it has the ability to chomp on foods, such as carrots. It is also an ingredient required in the brewing of the healing potion Skele-Gro", Professor Sprout explained Chinese Chomping Cabbage and gave us homework to write one side of parchment on it.

Rest of the day was normal. After dinner I received Mum's owl. She asked about study and Uncle Remus. I decided to write her back tomorrow. I was too tired to write today after Herbology homework.

Two weeks already passed. 5th year was going great until now.

We were all sitting in great hall having lunch when Oliver Wood, the Gryffindor Quidditch capital came over to us.

"Weasleys quidditch practice after lunch. Don't forget", Wood was about leave but stopped.

"Hey Anna. How's it going", he said charmingly.

"Hi. Yeah, everything is going well, you?", I answered a bit startled, I mean we never talked before.

"I'm good too. So, are you interested in quidditch? I mean I saw you cheering at top of your lungs during quidditch matches. I thought you might consider joining the team. We have tryouts next week",  he gave me a bright smile.

"Oh I love quidditch but I don't think I can do good as player. I'm not really good at flying. I'm actually afraid of  heights", I gave a nervous chuckle.

Everyone at the table was watching us with wide-eyed expressions.

"That's not a big deal. I can help you with that, if you want", he was insisting now.

"That's sweet of you Wood but I think I better be the audience", I said with a humble smile.

"I just thought I should ask. And please call me Oliver", he said with a sweet smile.

"Thanks for asking Oliver", I smiled back. He gave another smile before going out of great hall.

"Woah", it was all what Fred said.

George just stared at me for a while then went back to eating. His reaction made me a bit worried.

It was our trip to hogsmeade today. We finished our breakfast and made our way to hogsmeade. Poor Harry couldn't go to hogsmeade because his Aunt and Uncle didn't sign his form.

Well, Ron and hermione needed a proper trip by us. We showed them Honeydukes sweetshop, Scrivenshaft's quill shop, Shrieking Shack and Zonko's joke shop. After that we all went to The Three Broomsticks for butterbeer.

Hermione and Ron sat with Neville and some of their other friends on a separate table. I sat with George and Diana sat across from us. Fred and lee went to order butterbeer. They came back with the butterbeers and sat with Diana.

"Hey Anna, what about Wood?", Lee asked smirking.

"What about him?", I asked, confused.

"Well he asked if you are interested in him. What do you think about it?", Lee said taking a sip of butterbeer.

"He asked if I am interested in quidditch Lee, not himself ", I said.

Fred and Diana laughed but George gave miffed expressions.

"Yeah, same difference. So what do you think?", Lee said laughing.

"I think you heard me declining his offer Lee", I rolled my eyes.

"But he offered to help you with flying", Lee said sneering, what was going inside his head. I gave him a sharp look.

"Alright, stop it Jordan. Don't you have something better to talk about", George said, he look teed off.

I smiled at him taking a sip of my butterbeer. Everyone started laughing and I narrowed my eyes in confusion. George turned towards me laughing a bit, raise his hand to my face and wiped my butterbeer foam mustache gently with his thumb.

"You're cute", he said with bright smile.

I found myself staring at him and felt my cheeks turn pink. I averted my gaze and looked down as he stared back at me. I started running my fingers through my hair and tugged some loose strands behind my ear absent mindedly.

Oh my GOD! What was happening to me. I remained silent for rest of the time but a warm feeling lingered in my chest.

We were now walking back to Hogwarts, laughing and making jokes. I was laughing so hard on Freddie's joke that I squeezed my eyes shut and stumbled over a big stone but didn't fall.

George wrapped both his arms firmly around me and saved me from tripping over.

"Woah, Anna careful. You could have fallen if I hadn't caught you", He said in a worried tone.

"No worries cause I always have you to catch me if I fall", I beamed at him. 

Lee wolf whistled at this and laughed. George and I both rolled our eyes at him.

When we reached Hogwarts, I went straight to my dorm and wrote back to mum telling her that everything is  good at school.
  
Dear Mum,
                   How are you and Dad doing. How is everything at work. I miss you and dad so much. Everything is going great at school. All the subjects are fascinating as always and I'm enjoying being a prefect. Its not bad, actually not bad at all. Uncle Remus is doing a great job. Everyone loves him. Tell Dad that I sent love and that I miss you both.
