“Just look for three vampires.”

Heather groaned. “Melanie, that's so freaking hard. There are like bajillion people here in the airport.”

I rolled my eyes. “Just keep looking, okay? They're just here somewhere...”

“Oh, I think I spot Flynn and Xayranne!” Mom exclaimed.

I turned to the direction she was pointing and beamed when I saw Xayranne waving her hands at us frantically. She was almost jumping up and down and it's kind of wrong because of her overly large stomach. Flynn was trying to calm her down. Roxanne was beside him, grinning widely and also waving her hands.

“Oh my God, there they are!” I pointed at them with a large grin in my face. It's been five years since I've last seen them and I incredibly missed them. Who wouldn't? They're like my family.

The five of us -- Dad, Mom, Jerome, Heather and me -- started to made our way there. When we approached them, Roxanne stepped forward to meet me and flung her arms around me. “Melanie! Oh my gosh, I've missed you so much!”

“Oh Roxanne,” I sighed as I hugged her back just as tightly. There was nothing different about her at all. She was still the same blonde-haired and blue-eyed Roxanne I've known. When the both of us pulled away, I grabbed Heather's hand and smiled at Roxanne. “This is Heather Moore. She's a good friend of mine back in London.”

“Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Roxanne Fox,” she said, reaching out for Heather's hand.

Heather also smiled back. “I've heard a lot about you, Roxanne.”

Roxanne turned to Jerome and raised an eyebrow. “And who is that hot guy with you, eh, Melanie?”

“That's Jerome. He's... um, my boyfriend.”

She turned to me quickly, her eyes wide. “Say what?”

“That's my boyfriend.”

“You haven't told me about a boyfriend in sight!”

“We just started dating yesterday,” I said rather regretfully. “I was about to tell you...”

“But what about Ga--”

She haven't got the chance to finish whatever she was saying since Xayranne enveloped me into a tight hug. When she let go, she was grinning from ear-to-ear. “You haven't changed at all, Melanie! You still look wonderful as ever.”

“Thanks, Xay,” I said, silently thanking her for interrupting Roxanne. I don't want to talk about Garret right now. “I can see you're in your third baby.”

Xayranne placed a hand on her large tummy. “Yep. I actually love being a mother.”

“Your Highness.” Flynn smirked down at me as he snaked his arm around Xayranne's waist. I could still see that they were very much in love with each other and marriage made their relationship stronger. He still looked the same, with his messy blonde hair that was scarily like Garret's and his blue eyes that he inherited from his father. “How are you?”

“Very well,” I said, smiling. “And how are you? Being a daddy made you soft?”

He snorted. “I'm still the rough Flynn that you knew.”

“Melanie,” Mom called me and I turned to her. “Your father and I wouldn't be able to go with you back at the house. We are supposed to be in a meeting or something.” She rolled her eyes. “The council is not very kind with us. We just arrived and they immediately wanted to have a meeting.”

I nodded, understanding. They have duties that they have to tend to after all. “Okay. I'll see you tonight.”

“Don't wait for us,” Dad said and kissed my forehead affectionately.
